Romain's rootless background, aspires him to dream of a borderless cosmos where everyone dances in harmony to the rhythm of any melody.

A key innovator in the Hong Kong & Asian music scene for the past 12 years, Romain has spearheaded numerous fresh concepts on the Island, such as Roofest (first rooftop festival), Fauve Radio (first full-time award-winning radio station), The Pharmacy (first dance music-oriented record store). And if that's not enough, he has also been organising monthly parties under the name ROAM and helping build the Shi Fu Miz Festival by bringing international artists such as Kink, Jayda G, Ben UFO, Move D, Habibi Funk, Demuja and many more. 

His Boiler Room debut during the Shi Fu Miz Festival 2019 has really marked the beginning of his full-time DJ/Producer career. Now launching his production career with releases on his own imprint Fauve Records as well as on other labels in every corner of the world, such as Fantastic Voyage (LA), Mamie's Records (Paris), Eskimo Recordings (Belgium), Boots & Legs (Australia), Hard First (Lyon) and many more... 

And only in his first 6 months, his music has been played by some of the biggest acts in the game such as DJ Harvey, The Black Madonna, Gerd Janson, Horse Meat Disco, Skatebärd, Lauer, Tornado Wallace, Lipelis, Orpheu The Wizard, Kamma & Masalo... and in some of the most iconic venues such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Dekmantel, Igloo Festival, Pikes and more.

About Summer Smurf : " Music for me is a translation of emotions, in this particular track, the emotion that is portrayed related to the uncertainty of this summer festive season. Hence why the track switches from hopeful frequencies to darker tones of disappointments but then back to joyful melodies towards the end, because deep down, I hope that all that is happening blows over after summer, call me crazy."

We Can Go Everywhere (Original Version)

Painter, DJ & musician Alexandra Feusi (@alexandra_feusi), a Swiss-Polish artist based in Vienna makes her debut on Iptamenos Discos with her debut single “Hello Sunday”.  
 
The second release in the recently launched single series for Iptamenos Discos, the track falls somewhere between disco, indie dance, house, and electronica and features melancholic vocals
which contrast with an upbeat and joyful melody and a bouncy and energetic bassline, creating an atmosphere that blurs the line between happy and sad and leaves the emotional meaning and intention of the song up to the interpretation of the listener.

The song was written in Vienna in April 2020 and was born out of heartbreak and loneliness. Feeling a deep sense of isolation due to the borders of her home country Switzerland being closed and her flatmates having left to be with their families, Alexandra felt trapped within the situation with no means of escape, how a bug must feel when they have flown into something they cannot flee from.  
 
“Hello Sunday” was created to process this peculiar predicament she found herself in and found relief after subsequently reflecting on this feeling and finding humour in the fact that in a moment of despair she somehow found herself strongly resonating with a bug. She came to the realisation that it is easy to forget that no one is special or alone in these feelings, even if you feel as if you are “the only bug in a world of bugs”.   

Alexandra is currently studying at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, and the cover artwork incorporates her paintings. Alexandra talks about how both her music and art have the same origin, both are art and are equally important, serving as inspiration and energy for each other.    

“Hello Sunday” will release via Iptamenos Discos on digital and streaming platforms on the 17th of October 2023 with the original mix and an instrumental version.

Well we are back from our summer holidays with a new PREMIERE FROM PARDON MOI!!!! Its part of an EP which is set to be released this weekend in preparation for the Andrew Weatherall Convenanza Festival!!! 

A little bit of text about it:

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still, the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.,,Swiftly bursting into the electronic scene in 2016, the duo managed to release a couple of EPs and singles on Nein Records and Emerald & Doreen Recordings and then drew the attention of one of the most interesting and diverse European labels - Gothenburg based Höga Nord Records.,,Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. The musical direction is toward the future. A utopia built in a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music doesn't stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.'

Fontän have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo’s latest release Fontän (Höga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.
The evolution of Fontän continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

Today United Colors of Rhythm is born, the project of a Chilean who moved to Spain for love. Love in its most traditional concept, but also love for her relationship with music. And this is how, from Fernanda Arrau (Pirotecnia / Playground), renowned Chilean artist, United Colors of Ryhthm (UCoR) is presented.
It is a new label with great ideas to contribute to our electronic music scene, artistic proposals that Fernanda herself defines as 'quite singular things' in which both the musical and visual aspects hold equally importance.
There is room for art in all its expressions at United Colors of Rhythm, without forgetting the main objective: to explore the nuances of electronic music. The first VA in November ‘18 promises to demonstrate an example of this eclecticism, wih artists including : Thomass Jackson (Calypso Records), Balam (Playground Records), Gabriel Ferreira (Ninefont Records, Elias Deepman (Panal Records) and Fernanda Arrau herself.

Playground attacks again, this time with 3 originals from the Venezuelan, Berlin based, Alejandro Molinari plus 3 remixes by Mijo, Middle Sky Boom and Teniente Castillo featuring Skelesys. An Ep loaded with mysterious voices, rocker beats and dark landscapes.

The Israelite Middle Sky Boom takes 'Kann Dich Heilen' for the first remix of this release. Everything starts with a female voice overdubbing the original voice supported by a pad of percussions. Suddenly the bassline enters alongside acid touches of flying synths. A chorus of voices starts to sing a hypnotic mantra with epic sounds behind. Crazy sounds invades the track, all is madness.
