What a lovely ending for a long summer filled with so different impressions and adventures. Besides many other lovely souls I got to know such a sweet crew of people from Cologne who instantaneously made me feel like I'm home. I made friends with five of them on their own before I later met them all together and figured out they're all from the same circle of friends. Seems like it fits. Thank you guys for the amazing time and welcoming me as one of yours! 🥰
To play my set from 1 to 3:15 in the night at such a sweet stage, called the Phoenix Nest, with fire jugglers on the side and with all those new made friends dancing was the cherry on top.
Now autumn is coming and I'm filled with gratitude for everything that was this last months and am looking forward to some more quiet times for integrating all that happened. 🍂

Hard Fist 16th release is on the way and is all about fusion of man and machine, connecting traditional singing to the electronic music dance floor attitude. Signed by prolific composer Omri Smadar, the digital EP also includes remixes by French producer Yuksek and Jordanian musician Shadi Khries. 

Based in Tel Aviv, Omri Smadar’s life is all about composing and connecting, playing and performing, studying and story-telling. From deep history and complex theory to the dark art of dot joining, the academically trained composer and pianist is neck deep in all aspects of the culture and artform. He worked with Correspondant, Tel Aviv’s Blue Shadow and collaborated with well-known musicians such as Siam and Fortis, and to extensive remixes, edits and remoulds of influential Israeli music, such as debut album ‘Collage’ [Nana Disc 2020] 

Phase of Motion EP surrounds the idea of fusing organic-traditional human singing and playing with the electronic music dancefloor attitude. Omri’s work is known for interweaving organic, synthetic and analog. This EP is a perfect example, with its heady vocals and chants going hand in hand with percussion and machine sounds. 
Omri places great importance on the common experience the sharing of music creates. That’s why he produced “Phase of Motion” with some of his close friends: Nenor, Roy Shpilman, Shlomo Gronich and Yogev Haruvi.

Adama (written with Shlomo Gronich and produced with Roy Shpilman) samples the "Sheba Band" - an Israeli-Ethiopian children choir from the early 90's.

Berlin based power duo Local Suicide (@localsuicide) are releasing their long-awaited debut album ‘Eros Anikate’ on their own label Iptamenos Discos on 13th May. The title translates to ‘love invincible’ and draws influence from Sophocles’ play, ‘Antigone’ - an ancient Greek play based around tragedy in the aftermath of a civil war.

‘Eros Anikate’ will showcase the duo's renowned ‘technodisco’ sound, blending retro with modern elements, alongside moody baselines and haunting vocals, whilst featuring an array of exciting collaborators and friends including Curses, Hard Ton, Skelesys, Lee Stevens, The Hidden Cameras, Sissi Rada, Theus Mago, Kalipo, and Greek new wave legend Lena Platonos.

‘Moustache’ , the third single taken from the album is a collaboration of Local Suicide with their longtime collaborator and friend, Buenos Aires native Skelesys (@skelesys). Sharing a love for the darker sounds you’d find in horror films and computer simulations, the 4/4 kick drum and woodwind like sounds manipulated into a frenzy bring us a rather interesting juxtaposition of playful horror.

“This one started off as a hymn to Dali, but ended up being a love letter to a dude with a ‘stache”. 

While the track crescendos into an ominous buildup of synths that continue to mesmerise you, the famous Vamparela vocals are the perfect surrealist playground that Dali himself would be proud of. Contrasting the playful with the serious, this track is the perfect oxymoron with post-punk and EBM madness, of which we’d expect nothing less from the two acts coming together.

‘Eros Anikate’ will be released on Vinyl, CD and digitally on Iptamenos Discos on 13th May 2022.

The title track snaps & cracks with some corking jacking percussion & stuttered drum hits before trippy pads & synths swirl in & out with a hooky as heck bass line surrounded by infectious synth stabs that truly mark this one as certified ‘Mutant Disco’.

Vibration goes a touch deeper and jumps right into the warm up section of your Rekordbox playlist whilst still retaining an element of ‘balearic-ness’ about it. Lovely warm piano chords and smooth synths lead the way on this perfect mood setter.

Hot Metropolis ramps up the wonky factor to 11 with a rubber band bass line that jacks like heck and guitar strums that added some serious soul. Pack in plenty of spaced out synths, pads & squelches and this finishes off this E.P. in serious style.

Eclectic, versatile, organic and with one of a kind sensitiveness to mix genres and emotions Valentin bring his balearic mojo to dance floors worldwide.

Born and raised in Eivissa, Valentin Huedo grew up surrounded by seductive tunes and grooves connected with the astounding nature and free-minded people. He grabbed the core of the island and understood the way music transcends us and make us bond with ourselves and with each other. And since then he’s been projecting it both in the island and all around the world.

From a very young age, he soundtracked the sunset in the legendary Café del Mar being the youngest dj to play there in a residency that lasted for a decade. In the following years he would do step forward into the balearic scene as resident dj at the infamous beach club Blue Marlin but also as one of the main hosts of Ibiza Sonica Radio spreading the sound of the island internationally. In 2016 he started as resident DJ at WooMooN, a rite that celebrates life, love and art in community that brings back the original spirit of the White Island. Since then he's been composing magical grooves and fantastic melodies for music imprints as "Do not sit on the furniture" or "Music for Clubs" as has been said “redefining the Balearic sound of his predecessors. Eclectic, versatile, organic and with one of a kind sensitiveness to mix genres and emotions Valentin bring his true balearic mojo to dancefloors around the globe to be danced by all those who live by the sun and love by the moon.
