"This mix is linked to my inspiration from footwork music. It’s really romantic, but at the same time powerful and primitive images like hyper-ancient civilizations spring to mind whenever I listen to it. I also picked out a few of my all time, little-know favourite songs from my early age and added them at the end. Both simply express how I enjoy music and play with sounds.

Most of the tracks are mine: including ones featuring Taiwanese producer/singer Meuko Meuko and Taigen from Bo Ningen, which will be on my upcoming LP from Orange Milk. The last two tracks are my favourite Japanese bands Kuuki Kodan and Nina. The very last one is from my old playmate, singer songwriter Osaki Go.

PREMIERE : Hidden Spheres - By & Bye [Distant Hawaii]

One of the most exciting producers pioneering Australia's club scene is Swick, who today shares his new single "Polo Love" featuring Spank Rock - out now on Nina Las Vegas' label NLV Records.

In true Swick style, “Polo Love” is a a genre blurring combination of crazy club sounds, heartfelt melodies and unpredictable instrumentals. Progressive and truly original is something we've come to expect from the Melbourne producer. The track features U.S rapper, vocalist and Avalanches live member Spank Rock, who also appeared on Swick's Stamina EP. 

Having been tipped as One To Watch in triple j's annual magazine, Swick is consistently releasing music that is both dynamic and whimsical, a morphed sound that has no classification and asks only to be enjoyed.

The noise was deafening, the waterfall elegant beneath the summer rays. A rainbow began to form up high above, the water spray merging beautifully with the fresh air of the African outback. There were many people gathered here yet few actually spent the time to meditate beneath one of God's greatest creations. A thing of beauty lost and ignored between the glow and buzz of smart phones and cameras. 

Fontän is remixed on a new EP by several artists which include the likes of Timothy J Fairplay, Khidja and Mythologen. Each take on tracks from his recent album on Höga Nord and offer alternate versions. We nominated the Red Axes remix to feature.

Nature documentaries of the 1970s used synthesizer music to score messages about species endangerment and environmental disaster prevention. Electronic instrumentation was in itself an ominous warning of the reckless advancement of technology and an effort to audition a utopian harmony between people and machines and nature. 

Photay’s debut full-length ​Onism​ inherits the same historical tension in an age of climate change and social media addiction. It is also a reflection of personal conditions, a meditation on place, community, and its creator’s own embodied history. The word ‘onism,’ invented by John Koenig, means the frustration of being stuck in just one body that inhabits only one place at a time. 

To grasp onism is to be apprised of how little of the world you have experienced, are experiencing, or will ever experience. Photay (Evan Shornstein) composed ​Onism​ in the heart of Brooklyn and shrouded by the silence of national parks or on trips home to the woodlands of the Hudson Valley in between touring the urban centers of foreign countries. Scattered but connected, ​Onism’s​ music is a constellation that rips across the night sky of time, charting an emotional reality defined by sadness and joy, dread and wonder.
