Today we bring you @so_sew for our 33rd episode of Into a Deeper Dimension.

Sergei So Sew is a DJ and promoter living in the Ekaterinburg, Russia.

His works are meditatively melancholic mix of music that plunges into unexplored, allegorically sound measurements. 

So Sew is also organizing special parties named Sverdlovskiy Deep (www.instagram.com/sverdlovskiy_deep/) in his city for several years and this events are full of good music, spiritual vibes and friendly atmosphere.

Hast du dich jemals gefragt wer die große Cheops Pyramide erbaute? 
Wie konnten die Menschen damals tonnenweise Gestein aus hunderten Kilometern Entfernung zum Gizeh Plato bringen? Wie wurden die massiven Steinblöcke so präzise be- und verarbeitet? Welch unglaubliche Ingenieurskunst steckt hinter dieser Konstruktion, dass sich mit heutigen Mitteln so ein Gebilde kaum realisieren ließe. Kam eine uns unbekannte Technologie zum Einsatz, mit Hilfe derer alle diese Planungsschritte ersonnen und umgesetzt wurden?

Historiker vertreten die Ansicht das die einzelnen Komponenten mit Schiffen über den Nil zur Baustelle transportiert wurden und die Steinmetze kaum mehr als bronzene Faustkeile zum bearbeiten der Kalksandsteinblöcke hatten. Einfache Arbeiter und Lasttiere sollen nur mit Seilzügen und bloßer Muskelkraft, Schicht für Schicht errichtet haben. 
Fakt ist die Bauherren verfügten über weitreichendes mathematisches, geometrisches und astronomisches Wissen, anders lässt sich die exakte Ausrichtung dieses Weltwunders kaum erklären.
Handelt es sich hierbei wirklich um die letzte Ruhestätte eines ägyptischen Königs oder wurde die Pyramide zu einem ganz anderen Zweck errichtet?
Und was ist mit den anderen kolossalen Pyramiden, die auf allen Kontinenten dieser Erde existieren?

He already released on Dream Culture, Ein2, Electronical Reeds. 2019 looks already promising with
releases on Steyoyoke, Lost Diaries, Dream Culture, Dunkelheit and more to be announced.
In summer 2015 and together with his Swiss Friend Floloco he started Schirmchendrink, a quickly
growing electronic underground music podcast.

A few words from the artist:

"As kid of the 80s I have a couple decades of experience in electronic music. No matter if playing live or compiling a mix, for me it’s all about creating an experience. Some call it storytelling, a journey. I think, this is just what DJ’ing should be about.

I don’t care about release dates or genres – often spending hours, days or even weeks for the track selection, it just must fit together. Making a mix is more like producing one, over-length track for me, always striving to create something “complete”. The result is not easy to pigeonhole since I like to move across genres. I like to build up the vibe and then releasing towards the end of a set. If you feel it, my mission is accomplished!

Electronic music is my passion and a welcome contrast to the daily office routine. Aiming to spread the music I love also led to my other baby, the @schirmchendrink collective, the one with the tasty cocktails and an incredibly hard-to-pronounce name."

We are happy to welcome him to our family, and we hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do!
