Gatecrasher is an international clubbing brand made famous by the "Gatecrasher" (later "Crasher") dance music events, which were held at the Republic nightclub in Sheffield, UK during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The promoters of the brand were Linus Schaxmann, Simon Raine and Simon Oates and, until 2004, Scott Bond. By August 2014, the only Gatecrasher venue remaining was located in the United Kingdom city of Birmingham. This venue was closed down permanently by the authorities on 25 November 2015.

The Love Parade (German: Loveparade) was a popular electronic dance music festival and technoparade that originated in 1989 in West Berlin, Germany. It was held annually in Berlin from 1989 to 2003 and in 2006, then from 2007 to 2010 in the Ruhr region. Events scheduled for 2004 and 2005 in Berlin and for 2009 in Bochum were canceled.

On 24 July 2010, a crowd crush at the Love Parade in Duisburg caused the deaths of 21 people, with at least 500 others injured. As a consequence, the organizer of the festival announced that no further Love Parades would be held and that the festival was permanently canceled.

In 2022 the Love Parade was revived under the name Rave The Planet.

Tresor (German for safe or vault) is an underground techno nightclub in Berlin and a record label.

History:

The club was founded in March 1991 in the vaults of the former department store Wertheim at Leipziger Strasse 126-128 in Mitte, the central part of East Berlin, next to the Potsdamer Platz. The history of the club goes back to 1988 when the electronic music label Interfisch opened the Ufo Club in Berlin. Ufo was the original centre of Berlin house and techno, but due to financial problems that club closed in 1990.
After Ufo closed, Interfisch's head, Dimitri Hegemann, and some investors in the club found the new space in East Berlin. This was advantageous timing, as it was only a few months before Germany unified. The vaults under the Wertheim department store proved to be the perfect location for a club, and Tresor quickly became the place to be in Berlin. Tresor continued to be a popular club, having expanded and reconstructed continuously several times to include an outdoor garden area, and a second "Globus" floor. The Tresor floor in the basement was reserved specifically for hard techno, industrial and acid music, while Globus was featured mainly more mellow house sound. The record label Tresor Records was founded soon after the club first opened, in October 1991. Featured artists on the label include Jeff Mills, Blake Baxter, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, Drexciya, Stewart Walker, Joey Beltram, DJ Surgeon, Pacou, Cristian Vogel and many others.
In 2004 the documentary "Tresor Berlin: The Vault & the Electronic Frontier" was released. Directed by Mike Andrawis, it features interviews with Hegemann, Carola Stoiber, and DJs & artists associated with the club & label. The film covers the period from Hegemann's involvement with the Fishladen and UFO clubs in Berlin-Kreuzberg to the final months prior to Tresor's closure.
Tresor closed on 16 April 2005, after several years' prolonged short-term rent. The city sold the land to an investor group to build offices on the Leipziger Straße location. It was open for each night of April 2005, with the final event starting the Saturday night with queues stretching all the way down the road, and still going Monday morning.
Tresor reopened on 24 May 2007 in the decommissioned southern tract of the combined heat and power plant Heizkraftwerk Berlin-Mitte in Köpenicker Straße. 
Since November 2019 the club has a subsidiary in the city of Dortmund called Tresor.West. 
In September 2022, Tresor published a photobook, Tresor: True Stories, to document the past 30 years of its history.

Sten Hallström, also known by his stage name StoneBridge, is a Swedish DJ and record producer. He received international acclaim with the remix of the 1993 hit "Show Me Love" with Robin S. and his remix for "Closer" by Ne-Yo which received a 2008 Grammy nomination.

StoneBridge is also a resident at Sirius XM/BPM with his show StoneBridge bpmMix every Saturday 11pm (PST) over North America. He also mixes his weekly StoneBridge HKJ podcast and runs record label Stoney Boy Music.

Biography:

StoneBridge started releasing remix records in the 80's with the label Remixed Records, he had also been running the Swedish DJ/remix outfit SweMix, formed at the end of the 1980s. 

He has released several 12" remixes, CDs, and has several singles, including "Put 'Em High", "Take Me Away" and "Freak On" from the debut album 'Can't Get Enough' 2005. Some of his singles featured the Swedish vocalist, Therese. In 2006, he released a DJ mix album, The Flavour The Vibe, as well as started working on his follow-up album Music Takes Me, which was released in 2007. A follow-up to The Flavour The Vibe Vol 2 was released in 2008, as well as a Best of Stoney Boy Music two one mixes for iTunes. A third artist album, 'The Morning After' was released 2010. In recent years StoneBridge has released several successful singles such as 'Be Kind' (with Crystal Waters 2014), 'You Can Have It All' (featuring Koko LaRoo 2015), 'Believe It' (featuring Koko LaRoo 2015), Turn It Down For What (featuring Seri 2017), #1 Billboard Club Chart singles 'If You Like It (featuring Elsa Li Jones 2016)', Put 'Em High 2016 (featuring Therese), Meet In The Middle (featuring Haley Joelle 2018).

In 2008, StoneBridge remixed Ne-Yo's track "Closer", and the comeback single from New Kids on the Block, featuring Ne-Yo, entitled "Single". StoneBridge garnered a Grammy Award nomination for his remix of "Closer". In 2012 StoneBridge received a BMI Songwriter of the year award for his contribution to Jason Derulo 'Don't Wanna Go Home'.

In the following decades contemporary remixes have included Ariana Grande 'No Tears Left to Cry', Enrique Iglesias featuring Pitbull 'Move to Miami', Pink 'Beautiful Trauma', Diana Ross classics 'Upside Down/I'm Coming Out' and 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'. Classic remixes include "Me and My Imagination" by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, "Talkin' 2 Myself" by Ayumi Hamasaki, and "Gimme More" by Britney Spears.

In 2023 StoneBridge released singles Starry Night featuring K Syran, You Can Have It All (2023 Mixes), Too Late featuring Kiyoné, StoneBridge - You Don't Know (2022 Remixes) on 'Stoney Boy Music' Supported by Hedkandi, RTE, Gaydio, Radio Metro, Hot Hits UK, Classic Central Radio and many more..

I still remember the early days of Hardstyle so clearly. When I heard the first sets of the Qlubtempo editions, I was instantly hooked! That authentic, lived-in early Hardstyle sound has stuck with me ever since! I've picked out tracks that remind me of that time. Nothing, but absolutely nothing, can beat that specific sound! Try to convince me otherwise! 

Here’s a small explanation taken from the Q-Dance website:

"Qlubtempo: the birthplace of hardstyle. This concept laid not only the foundation for hardstyle, but also for Q-dance. We'll take you back in time to the history of this legendary concept.
It was 2001: the heyday of hardcore was over, and people were looking for something new. Q-dance was still called Qlass Elite, and hardstyle hadn't yet been invented. We were throwing old-style parties, but that was starting to wear off. The hard feel that had dominated the dance scene for years was gone.

We decided it was time for something new. We had a venue: Hemkade in Zaandam, and we threw some harder styles into the mix. That's how we came up with a new concept: 
Qlubtempo, a monthly uptempo dance party, as we called it back then. 
"Uptempo dance only" was even the slogan for a while. "

Hi people! 

Here’s a new tribute mix I’ve made and this time it’s all about Sensation, the Black edition! Here’s a bit of history about Sensation Black;

Sensation Black was a Dutch dance festival organized from 2002 to 2012, focusing on "darker" music genres such as hardstyle and hardcore. In 2007, the name was changed to "Black" to avoid confusion with the international festival Sensation (formerly Sensation White). The festival was initially held at the Amsterdam ArenA, later at the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium.

Music style: Sensation Black was known for its focus on harder dance genres, such as hardstyle and hardcore. This was a contrast to the original "Sensation," which focused on trance and house.

Development: The event began in 2002 and ran at the Amsterdam ArenA until 2008.

Relocation: Subsequent editions, up to and including 2012, were held at the Ethias Arena in Hasselt, Belgium. 

Name change: In 2007, the name was changed to "Black" to distinguish it from the international festival "Sensation." There was also a special edition at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp in 2007.

Although I had never attended any editions of Sensation myself, I did had a lot of the compilations in my collection. I've selected, in my opinion, some of the coolest tracks that defined the first few hours from the earlier Black editions. Starting with some groovy club-techno tracks and build up towards some pumping Hard Trance in combination with a few Early Hardstyle tracks!

The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

Mike Air Presents Trancelations - December 2018

Creamfields is an electronic dance music festival series founded and organised by British club promoter Cream, with its UK edition taking place on August Bank Holiday weekend, with a number of international editions held across various territories worldwide.

First held in 1998 in Winchester, the festival moved to Cream's home city of Liverpool the following year, taking place on the old Liverpool airport, before moving to its current location on the Daresbury estate in Cheshire. The festival, having initially begun as a one-day event with 25,000 people in attendance, is now a four-day event with camping options hosting 70,000 per day.

The festival is the UK's oldest and most prestigious electronic dance music festival.

The Monegros Desert is noted for its Monegros Desert Festival, usually held in mid-July, attracting numerous Spaniards and internationally renowned DJ's and bands and some 40,000 people to its electronic music performances annually. Formerly called the "Groove Parade" after being founded in 1992, it is held at the Finca Les Peñetes, roughly 18 kilometres (11 mi) west of Fraga, not far from Bujaraloz. It is held in a windowless graffiti filled hall called Flarida, with an area of some 3,000 square metres (32,000 sq ft).
