What should've been the first part from this Tribute Trip became the second part. This mix represents the years 2002 till 2011. Here’s a little background story of how they started:

“The TNT project began back in 2002 when Technoboy and Tuneboy decided to try co-producing. They already knew they enjoyed working together in the studio but, until then, had only produced their own tracks (using their stage names and various aliases). 
While making a Tuneboy or a Technoboy single sees just the one who puts his name to the track in charge of the serious decision-making, TNT is in every way a joint project. Democratic to the core, TNT records are produced with maximum respect, absolute balance of power… and plenty of fun.”.

Qlimax is an annual hardstyle and hard dance event in the Netherlands. It is a major attraction held by Q-dance, and considered to be one of the leading hardstyle events, attracting nearly 30,000 people annually. It contains some of the most sophisticated production and setup, as well as sound system for any Q-dance event.

History:

During the first few years following Qlimax's debut, the event used to have several editions each year. Since 2004, it was changed to the third or fourth week of November. At first it was held at the Beursgebouw (Eindhoven) and then moved to various other venues such as the SilverDome (Zoetermeer) and Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam), but has now settled at the GelreDome (Arnhem).

Many artists consider being chosen to play at Qlimax as a highlight since the event is used to showcase the most successful artists in their respective genre. The beginning saw the lineup featuring genres ranging from Hardhouse to Techno. This was changed to traditionally begin with one Hardtrance act, numerous Hardstyle acts and then finish off with one Hardcore/Gabber act. This was changed in 2008 with the removal of the Jumpstyle act and in 2009 with the replacement of the Hardtrance act to one playing early Hardstyle.

in 2021 the event would have taken place during the day for the first time, to adhere to the COVID-19 pandemic precautions and guidelines at that time in the Netherlands. A week before the event was due, the event was cancelled and adapted to an online event.

The sound, light, pyrotechnic and stage setup at Qlimax is substantial. Around 350 L'Acoustics speaker boxes are deployed in the arena, with a majority being suspended from the ceiling. The conventional part of the lighting setup is controlled from 3 light desks, and the laser show is done by a certified laser show operator. FOH is placed out in the crowd, giving the technicians the overview they need, as well as the sound coverage needed to ensure everyone is having the most ideal possible sound at all times.

Iridium DJ Presents Trance Generators Classics - Part 1 - October 2023

Next to having Technoboy ‘N’ Tuneboy aka TNT as one of my favorite Italian Hardstyle duo's, I also have the Trance Generators on my list. They were top class Hardstyle producers and DJ’s. Almost all their mixes and sets were spot on! Their track “Italians Do It Better” from 2007 confirms that as well. 

Unfortunately, they are not a couple anymore. Trance Generators was a hardstyle team from Italy, and was originally composed of Philippe Martin, Simone Bergamelli and Aldo Pesenti. They released their first single (terminal 932) on the Anthem label, in 1999. The following year they started record company Future Sound Corporation. Aldo Pesenti dropped out in March 2003 and six months later they released the remaining two tracks of the group's debut album, Banging Sounds. Starting from March 2003 the group consists of this Italian duo Massimo Magri and Simone Bergamelli. Banging Sounds Album Vol. 2 was released in mid-2006, showing that the Trance Generators had stuck to the characteristic hardstyle. In March 2010 the Trance Generators ended their activity. Since 2010 Massimo Magri, better known as Radium, continued his journey alone with his record company Future Sound Records.

Iridium DJ Presents Early Hardstyle Days - Italians Do It Better - January 2024

When I saw the line up of HardClassics 2024 with Activator as the main act, I was immediately triggered to create a Hardstyle Classics mix of Manuel's tracks from the period 2008 to 2015. I had this idea in my head for some time, but now was the moment!

Personally, I am a big fan of his tracks from the Early Hardstyle period but his "Hardstyle Classics" style appealed to me so much because it was completely different from his previous productions!

One track really stands out for me and that is "Winter Song". What a record!
That break in combination with the vocals building up to the climax is truly fantastic! Goosebumps!

" DJ Activator aka Manuel Tessarollo was born in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. His career as a DJ began in the summer of 1995. Early in his career he started as a resident DJ at J&J-Orbital, Italy. For the following 5 years Manuel performed as a special guest on some major events and clubs in the north east of Italy like: Fabula, Strauss Tour, Sonar, Under Construction, Energy Club, Ecu and Fuse.

At the end of 2000 Manuel decided to focus all his time and energy on what he loves to do best; producing his own music. He produced many tracks which were released under many different pseudonyms. When he first started producing he collaborated with his friend and colleague Roberto Fellini (Rishni) and after much success with him he decided to build his own studio called "Oldbridge" in Bassano del Grappa.

In December 2002, the artist name DJ Activator was born when Manuel sent 2 banging tracks to one of the Italy's hottest labels called "Activa Records". At that time he needed an appropriate artist pseudonym for that label and the inspiration was immediate, what could be better than Activator?

At the moment DJ Activator is the A&R for Edinet and he's planning all the releases of these labels: Activa, Explosive, Kattiva, Fuck off, Akustika, Dsl. Since the beginning of his production career he created a lot of famous aliases like: Outlaw, Prozact, Megaphone, Ultrasonic, Spy-Kore, Overdrive, Knockout, T-78, Manuel Es and of course Activator.

He was one of the originators from Italy who contributed making hardstyle famous in the world, due to his massive productions and powerfull DJ sets played in several big clubs around the globe such as Matrixx, Metropolis, Mad, Bionic, ZAK (D), Excalibur (A), Number One (I), Monday bar etc. and big hardstyle events like: Defqon1, Q-Base, Xqlusive, Inqontrol, Hardbass, Decibel, Ground Zero, Black, Dance Valley, Westfest and so many more.
In 2009 he released his first album, a double cd called "Authentic style" which contains 18 new tracks and 18 classics ".
