Long ago. In a galaxy far away...  so it seems by now at least, the Droid Behaviour crew around my friend and @DJsandBeers co-host Drumcell organised an amazing CLR showcase party in LA, on the 21st of July 2012 to be exact. Drumcell, Truncate (back then as “Audio Injection) and our friend Dean Paul were playing alongside myself in that incredible night (see pics in the post). Even DJ Hyperactive was dancing :) Legends all around. The Droid crew are famous for their Interface parties, all amazing productions and locations, sometimes legal and sometimes illegal. Actually the first event I played for them was back in 2009 and I remember when Moe aka Drumcell  (who I met that night for the first time in person) told me proudly that none of their illegal warehouse parties did ever get busted.. well guess what happened at that night in 2009, haha. It was a start of a long lasting friendship and collaboration and I was super happy that they were willing to also throw a CLR showcase party in 2012 in LA. If you know me, you know the love I have for that city and all my friends living there. Btw, in 2013, Drumcell released his outstanding and timeless album “Sleep Complex” on CLR. I highly recommend checking this out, as it is still as fresh and valid today, as it was on its day of release. And another btw, this year will be the re-launch of CLR, which went into hibernation for some years while I was working on my albums for Mute Records, "Burn Slow", released in 2018 and the next one, which will also be out this year. Emmanuel Top is back after 10 years of silence.

His unique sound expression is gonna reach again the techno scene for some pure damages. Emmanuel Top belongs to the hall of fame of legendary techno producer. He has made many classics, such as Acid Phase, Turkish Bazar, Radio etc through his own imprint Attack Rec.

Played by almost every dj s all over the world, his name is a trademark of quality music and characterful music.

His avant-guardist album Asteroid (96) on Novamute was a key album which influenced many techno producers of today.

Emmanuel Top has decided that 2011 is the time to express again with some new sonic solution, here are 2 new original tracks presented on Planete Rouge label from his old mate Terence Fixmer.

Emmanuel Top est un DJ et producteur français de musique électronique.

Emmanuel Top s'est révélé au début des années 1990 dans le milieu électronique, devenant l'un des premiers DJ français les plus populaires, notamment à l'étranger (Allemagne ou Angleterre) plutôt qu'en France. 

Tout en poursuivant sa carrière personnelle, il fit parti du groupe BBE et rencontre beaucoup de succès grâce entre autres au titre Seven Days and One week.

Il fut également connu dans le milieu underground pour sa collaboration sur The Age of Love qui fut l'un des premier morceau trance et pour ses propres singles : Acid Phase et Turkish Bazar (1994), régulièrement joués en discothèque ou en soirée techno.

Beginning in the early '90s, Emmanuel Top became France's first techno superstar, even if his popularity was greater in countries like Germany and England than his own country.

He released a multitude of 12"s on the Attack label - La Pipe a Eau, Krankenhaus, Ecsta-Deal, Stress, Turkish Bazar, and many more - many of which are compiled on the triple-disc Release collection from 1995.

Top's next step took him to Nova Mute alongside heavyweights like Plastikman. There, Top debuted with the Lobotomie EP, followed by the Spherique 12" and the Asteriod LP in 1996.

In addition to his solo work, Top also collaborated with BBE in the mid- to late '90s as the trance act B.B.E. ("Seven Days and One Week") and also as Age of Love (the original "Age of Love").
