Ostgut Ton aficionado Anthony Parasole has helped keeping New York techno in the headlines over the last decade. The long time Halcyon store worker is not only a co-partner in Deconstruct Music with Levon Vincent, but he also runs his own no holds barred label, The Corner.  There is a very real sense of grit and streetwise attitude in everything he does, from the music he makes to the sets he lays down, and that raw energy never fails to consume all those who experience it. 

The podcast he serves up here is a near three hour live recording of him playing a warm up set on home turf at Output, New York.  As such it finds him really stretching his legs, starting out dark and atmospheric before journeying into more airy ambience, melodic slo jams and spaced out techno. Keeping a vibe alive for extended periods of time is no mean feat, but is something that Parasole truly excels as evidence here when he invites you deep down into his very personal rabbit hole.

With a fresh nordic breeze welcome Efraim Kent for the next sequel of Harmony Rec. podcast.

Raised in a family of musicians Efraim started playing instruments at an early age, but he soon found a passion for drum machines and synthesisers and started producing electronic music.

After reading an article about the legendary Japanese festival “The Labyrinth” Efraim discovered the sounds of Italian techno duo Voices from the Lake and was deeply inspired by their ritualistic approach to music. Something that also resonated with childhood friend Dorisburg. So the two set out on a musical journey that eventually lead to Moroccan label Tikita and the release of “Tecken”. Expect to hear more from Efraim very soon..

But first let this be a soundtrack to the slowly approaching autumn and all its beauty!

The French electronic music scene is ever changing, it never tends to stand still for too long. However, there are several key faces and figures who make it rather special in the sense that they continue to do their thing, unphased, unchanged over time. From this they have forged fully fledged careers, often with a special sense of expertise in style and genre.

Molly is perhaps one of the defining pioneers of this era of French musicians. 

As the founder of Récit de Voyage she has championed a wave of new producers who have taken things deeper than before, focussing on dense moody soundscapes and the tightly tuned fundamentals of dance music. Some call it minimal, some call it micro house, some call it tech house. In all honesty that doesn't matter, what it does do is captivate dancefloors through powerful, emotionally provocative energy which allows dancers to lose themselves in a transient, heads down state which is simply stunning to experience and observe. 

Molly has herself released music via the likes of Giegling, Groovement, RDV Music and Aku. She is one of the tightest dj's around and we are delighted to be able to feature her as part of this series.
