Half Barbadian and half English with an adopted "Latino" status after living in Venezuela for over a decade, Christopher "2irie" Harris has earned his place in this ever growing world of bass music. Wether it's as a recording artist/producer constantly cooking up something fresh in the studio, promoting events, or rocking crowds on the mic and behind the decks, this multi tasking bass soldier is here to stay.

  After 13 years mashing up the scene in Venezuela, 2irie returns to Barbados to rediscover his roots and bring his particular style of reggae and soca influenced bass music to the next level. Celebrating this new direction in his career, he released the new moombahton single "Latino Mafia" in collaboration with Venezuelan bossman producer Tropikore off the South American net label Le Ronca Records (http://www.junodownload.com/products/2irie-latino-mafia-remixes/2530540-02/). He also featured a few days earlier on a release off the same label with Ray Ibiza, on the vocal version of Ray's Tropicana once again on a moombahton tip (http://www.junodownload.com/products/ray-ibiza-tropicana-remixes/2524889-02/?trackid=2). 

  It all started in August of 2011 with the release of his self-titled debut album "2irie" off Miami based label El Flying Monkey Records. The LP rustled up quite a storm throughout the latino market and was acclaimed one of best albums of 2011 by Bogota based music magazine, blog and TV program "El Parlante Amarillo": http://elparlanteamarillo.com/v/especial-discos-amarillo-del-2011-con-simona/. Meanwhile in Venezuela Chris released "Rush", the first video off the album which was filmed at Balkong Studios in Madrid, Spain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmvdVkZStt8. 2irie was then nominated for 3 Pepsi Awards, best reggae artist, best reggae song and best reggae video, as his futuristic style started growing in popularity. Following up on recent success, Mr. Irie  recorded a brand new track along with video "Cumbia Steppa". This dancehall/cumbia bass combination helped him earn even more respect from his Venezuelan peers and reach a wider international audience. Also on a more underground vibe, he released the Five Star Punani/Worldwide Wuk EP off ELFM gaining attention from blogs like Tropicalbass.com and Moombahplus.com. With moombahton pioneer Chong X collaborating with remixes for both Cumbia Steppa and Five Star Punani, a steady flow of good energy between the two artists lead to the moombah/reggae anthem "Moombatrain" also released by ELFM, was well received by moombahton addicts worldwide. 

  2irie has worked with and is supported by artists like; Major Lazer, Diplo, South Rakkas Crew, Grammy winning producer Sr. Mendez, Grammy nominee MC Zulu, Blanquito Man of King Chango, Anthony B, Junior Kelly, Chong X, Gato Preto, Geko Jones, Uproot Andy, Pocz & Pacheko, OneChot, MKC, Patafunk, and Venezuelan hip hop star Reke amongst others.

Nació en Caracas, Venezuela en el mes de marzo
Trabajo en el Estudio De Grabación y Sala de Ensayo A Tempo Producciones C.A.
Tenia su propio nombre el cual era llamado Jaurías Record's, tambien trabajo con su compañia JauriasCompany, 

pero ahora se dedica a crear su 
nuevo Estudio bajo su propio nombre "DrMartinezVzla" que se basa en los principios de su antiguo estudio que es trabajar por su música cada día mas, y apoyar a todo los talentos nuevos en hacer su sueño en la Música.


capacitado en  sonido y mezcla. Varios años de experiencia en artistas,como productor; y alrededor de 300 canciones  15 albums y singles mezclados para grandes amigos y artistas.


Empiezo a mezclar  en 2009 obteniendo un gran conocimiento en  grabación y mezcla por parte de mis amigos ya metidos en la movida hiphop y desde entonces se ha convertido en una pasión que me ha llevado a desarrollar un sonido único, claro y envolvente, respetando siempre el género, estilo y gusto de los artistas.
