Simpa has been behind the decks since 1993, starting his journey in the underground scene of Salt Lake City, Utah. House music was his first passion, shaped by early influences like Mark E Quark, Myxlplix, and the Wicked Crew SF. Over the years, his musical exploration took him through Goa trance and Drum and Bass, which has remained his primary musical focus since the early 2000s.

Relocating to San Francisco in 2000, and later to Santa Cruz, Portland, and Seattle, Simpa's sound evolved alongside his travels. After taking a break to raise a family, he returned to the scene with renewed energy, earning a prominent place within Seattle’s DnB community. He quickly became a fixture at the longest-running DnB weekly in the U.S., and has shared the stage with heavyweights like Calibre, Spectrasoul, Bachelors of Science, Ben Soundscape, Quadrant, Iris, Kid Hops, Homemade Weapons, and Dara.

During the COVID era, Simpa rediscovered his roots in House music, and has since been lighting up Seattle’s dancefloors with his dynamic sets, blending the best of both worlds. Whether it’s the driving rhythms of DnB or the soulful grooves of House, Simpa’s sets promise a journey of sound that reflects decades of experience and passion.

I'm a raving reposter, mostly of dnb and it's family of sub genres, tho branch into bass and psychedelia of all sorts, and mostly long play mixes, podcastes etc to spread the good sound of those awesome producers and dj's out there. Iris was introduced to electronic music at age 13, when she first heard “Insomnia” by Faithless on Seattle’s C89.5. Since then, her love affair with the music has only intensified as she has honed a diverse set of tastes and an equally exacting repertoire of skills behind the decks. Her journey has taken her from UK Hard House, into the sounds of Trance and Progressive, finally culminating in her current focus of Deep Drum and Bass, Techno.

Iris has been collaborating on original productions with DnB veteran Quadrant. Their first tune, Anthropocene, was spotted immediately by none other than Goldie himself, and snapped up for the Metalheadz Genesis EP volume 4. Other collaborations, with Quadrant and local legend Kid Hops, have been picked up and supported by Total Science for their CIA imprint, as well as Hospital Recordings, Dispatch and Commercial Suicide.

With an ever growing arsenal of original productions, a host of exclusive tunes from the hottest producers around the world, all held down by meticulous mixing and track selection, Iris is a force to be reckoned with.
