once again i forgot to record my mix live. i re-did it at home. and let me tell you it was NOT easy. making sure my kid wasnt getting into anything while trying to beat match is a total bitch....but here it is. its not exactly like the mix at iris but pretty close. all you old school dnb heads will LOVE the last half. i had all these youngins goin NUTS for dnb. good night indeed

Celebrating Dutty Audio’s 10th anniversary,  label owner BTK decided to bring the community together for a remix competition. With over 100 submissions, it was a great experience picking the winners for this release. Originally released on the legendary Virus Recordings, ‘40 Channels of Funk’ is one of BTK’s favourite tracks as it showcases a raw and dirty side of his production skills and perception of drum & bass back in 2010. 
 
Proving that the drum & bass scene can’t ever have enough of up and coming rising new talent, these remixes are being represented by the power of LOG1N from France, Switzerland’s finest Simstah, the Hungarian creativeness by tshabee, Finland’s old school flavour by Infader and the Spanish duo rising star Picota & Kumbh.

Iris was introduced to electronic music at age 13, when she first heard “Insomnia” by Faithless on Seattle’s C89.5. Since then, her love affair with the music has only intensified as she has honed a diverse set of tastes and an equally exacting repertoire of skills behind the decks. Her journey has taken her from UK Hard House, into the sounds of Trance and Progressive, finally culminating in her current focus of Deep Drum and Bass, Techno.

Iris has been collaborating on original productions with DnB veteran Quadrant. Their first tune, Anthropocene, was spotted immediately by none other than Goldie himself, and snapped up for the Metalheadz Genesis EP volume 4. Other collaborations, with Quadrant and local legend Kid Hops, have been picked up and supported by Total Science for their CIA imprint, as well as Hospital Recordings, Dispatch and Commercial Suicide.

With an ever growing arsenal of original productions, a host of exclusive tunes from the hottest producers around the world, all held down by meticulous mixing and track selection, Iris is a force to be reckoned with.
