There are few more interesting outfits in electronic music than Hamburg natives Digitalism with the eccentric duo otherwise known as Jens “Jence” Moelle and İsmail “Isi” Tüfekçi capturing the worlds imagination for well over a decade now. Since forming over a mutual love of vinyl the pair have gone on to enjoy success around the globe remixing esteemed artists such as Depeche Mode, The Presets and Cut Copy whilst releasing on some of the industry’s coolest labels and now DT have secured their an extended mix of latest effort for premiere.

Titled ‘Second Chance’ their latest single sees the duo unveil the latest stage of their musical evolution that was hinted at with 2014 efforts ‘Fahrenheit 32’ and the Youngblood Hawke featuring ‘Wolves’. Arriving February 16th via Zerothree and backed by remixes from Funkagenda, Capa, Traumer and Swedish upstart David Vrong you can check out the extended version of ‘Second Chance’ now. Big!

On the occasion of the centenary of the Armenian genocide, I composed a musical piece of 100 minutes retracing the past 100 years of Armenian history, my origin country.

In 1915, the Armenian people were the victim of the first genocide of the twentieth century resulting in the killing of 1.5 million people.
In 1922, as a consequence of the first world war, Armenia was incorporated to the Federal Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. 
In 1988, increasing tensions with Azerbaijan lead to a war in Nagorno-Karabakh that lasted for 6 years. That same year, December 7, 1988, a devastating earthquake ravaged Armenia, killing 30,000 people. 
In September 21, 1991 following the fall of the USSR, Armenia became independent. 
Today, 100 years after the terrible events of 1915, Armenia is trying to rebuild and continues fighting for the recognition of the genocide still denied by its author. 

To illustrate this musical work, was realized an artistic film combining contemporary dance, Armenian traditional dance, plastic arts, visual expression and archive images. 

We have also put in place a donation operation to AGBU Association for building schools and hospitals in Armenia.
