A rare evening upload from me - work is going to suck again tomorrow, and I want to get this one out there and in your king lears. Following on from volume 13 - don't question my methods - this is a slightly more obscure selection of pure '92 loveliness. Several all-time favourites from my cherished DJ Ace and Sublove tapes, and a bunch of other cool stuff, all carefully sculpted in ableton live. Watch out for the ridiculously-good 'Esoterics' from Body Snatch. Jesus that dude was so far ahead of his time. The little-known and oddly-titled 'Num Yo Ho' from Lauren Aulder also needs a mention, genius atmospherics rolling along with the 'Hip This House' break, it's only like 30 years I've been wanting to include it in a set. The reliably insane Nebula II pop up with a track dropped by Aphex Twin in Bristol recently. Final mention goes to Konspiracy (a.k.a. the legendary MC Duke) for sampling Phil Collins, typically strong move. This is the last of this AOARK mini-run, but rest assured they will be back some day. A collective out of Australia, Iron Gate Sound has been a mainstay of Sydney’s reggae-dancehall scene since 2012. The brainchild of Flip and Gilsun, Iron Gate Sound has dropped a steady stream of mixtapes and independently released music under its Iron Gate Records label over the last decade.
 
Working with dub, reggae, dancehall and grime artists from Jamaica and Europe, Iron Gate Records has always maintained a connection to roots even as it has sought to develop, reinterpret and innovate new sounds.
