It is with a feverish excitement that we can finally announce the next EP in our catalog from our newest addition to the Second State family: Amelie Lens. Besides being quite a multi-talented virtuoso, the Belgian artist comes in hot and heavy for her debut release ‘Let It Go’ and with it showcases her prowess for dark, cutting-edge techno. Over the span of four tracks Lens takes us on a tour-de-force journey into the cerebral spaces of large, dark rooms and flashing strobe lights. Kicking things off is the hypnotically inducing 'Wild' with looping vocals laid over an ever increasing pressure of percussion and white noise. Much like the EP opener, 'Linger On' casts the same spell yet picks up the pace with racing snares and meteoric synth washes creating a deeply euphoric ride. The title track ’Let It Go' is up next and is by far the most 'cheeky' tune of the EP with a twisted acid line swirling around the constant begging of Lens’ voice encouraging you to "Let It Go, Let It Out". Rounding out the EP is 'The Finest Hour' and Lens wraps up her debut with the most psychedelic cut of the package. Low rumbling bass tones and spaced out pads over sparse drums leave lots of room for the imagination providing each listener to create their own journey to navigate. If this is Amelie Lens' debut with us, we expect a lot of very big things to come from the young Belgian and so should you. Welcome Amelie Lens!

The second artist that we signed during the Dancefair show in Holland was the main man Arne Over from Belgium. A talent in the rising with his rolling basslines and big room melodies. Some serious hands in the air breaks to get the dancefloor in the mood. We racked up some fine remixes from the gent's Erich von K, Dennis Rema & Rick Milan. These guys all give their own twist on the originals making this one complete pack of Techno gems.

Arne Over - RBC (Original Mix)

Ukrainian producer Vakula, whose name is linked to the early days of Arma, re-emerges with Techno Game. The double vinyl features seven confidently-carved tracks that reflect Vakula's current exploration of techno landscapes.

As the cover suggests, it is a game. The author does little to nothing to explain the rules, throwing the listener into an elegantly structured space that feels alarmingly material. 

Featuring artwork by Juli Kozyr, the release date is set for the 25th of November.

VOLTAGE Records welcomes Spanish born producer Vily Vinilo with his Chromosphere EP. 
His work is a mixture of classic techno groove mixed with experimental elements, some progressive touches which take the listener to a trip through a unique soundscape. 

Blending elements from different genres within the Electronica, this pumping, 'running' 3-tracker is the perfect soundtrack for different settings, different times within a set, adding up spice and uniqueness in any set. 

Chromosphere is wide, sturdy and phat, based on a dark kickdrum selection and distinctive sidechaining on the constant pads and chords that travel throughout the track. There is a bass arpeggio that appears after the first drop, which produces an irresistible groove on it's own and makes this composition truly original. 

'Parallax' is what someone would describe as a 'well designed track within a unique soundspace'. From the first seconds, it immediately creates a habitat of its own, immersing the listened into its atmosphere. 

'Supernova' is based on a drone seq that flows elegantly throughout the tracks playtime. Adding discrete pads and gated leads this is a track with a pure techno core but enriched with elements from classic trance, making it irresistible to dancing.
