1-bit song that has been composed to enter the GTIA Atari music compo at SillyVenture 2022SE. This is ZX Spectrum version, however, as GTIA one got some technical issues with proper tuning that will probably take time to figure out. Ultimately it should sound exactly like this one.

Finally got around to making "ver.B"

This time around, I wrote this in FamiTracker, a module editor that emulates the sound hardware of the Nintendo FamiCom and synthesizes the voice channels more faithfully. I was still able to stay within the limits of the system's hardware but still expand polyphony, thanks to MMC5, which simply adds two more square-wave voice channels.

This was my first attempt at playing with FamiTracker's VRC7 chipset emulation. While there were limitations in the chipset's polyphony, the sound came out all right. Unfortunately, the chipset wasn't able to pump out much in the low-end frequencies, so I boosted the bass after I converted the file from FTM to MP3.

After a long time, I dusted off my Fairchild F8 coding skills and made a new sound routine for the Channel F (aka VES, Grandstand, Saba Videoplay). Sleizsa Trio features 3 tone channels (one of which can play noise instead of tone), globally configurable duty cycles, and 2 interrupting click drums. It uses a mixing algorithm based on Zilogat0r's Squeeker engine for the ZX beeper, which does a somewhat better job with the Channel F's crude sound generator than Sleizsa Duo's pulse interleaving method.
