First remix I've done of Depeche Mode. I found some acapella stems floating around the interwebs and had fun with them. Definitely a different take on this song, and it's slowed down a bit. If you listen, I'd love to hear what you think.

I had originally started this with the goal that it all be done exclusively with sounds I created from scratch in Massive, one of my heavily used synths. So even the kick, and some of the snare drum are amongst mostly other Massive sounds. I used several samples later on in addition to the vocals, and Granulator with one of the vox samples for the loop in the beginning, but mostly accomplished my goal.

Under the influence is two things at once, on one hand, it is a compilation of some of the many issues that Isaac Junkie has heard all his life and on the other hand, is a revision to those working them subjects in their own style. It is a way of paying tribute to the musicians who have influenced him in one of several ways that have left their mark and helped define what is now his musical style.

From The Human League, The Cure, Erasure, Gary Numan… Isaac Junkie select and remix 22 songs, while not covering all the artists he wanted, they do form a small sample of what has been for music it all this time. Giving special to your favorite band quintessential place: Erasure. Andy Bell has been one of his favorite singers of all time and pays tribute to remixes of songs from different eras as "When a lover leaves you", "Sacred" or the classic "A Little Respect".

Depeche Mode`s Strangelove-88 version (Alan Wilder´s EMAX setup was used)

A personal favourite. Some sounds from Alan Wilder´s EMAX set were used to create this.  For example: The "Oboe" sound in the beginning and in the end is from "Everything Counts". Some of the drums are from Drumulator and one sampled kick from "People Are People" `s used. The hardest part was actually to recreate the "Organsound" that is the mainriff throughout the whole track. I´ve used two organ sounds from NI.  Other instruments used on this track are: NEXUS, MASSIVE, VANGUARD, POLYPLEX (Drums), ROUNDS, JUPITER V2, HALION (Sampler), BATTERY-4.
