"In Music We Are All Equal" is how Kenji describes his philosophy around music.Born in Johor Bahru. He has gained inspiration from fellow DJ’s like Frankie Knuckles, Gilles Peterson, Hideo Kobayashi, Ian Pooley, Danny Howells and Miguel Migs and his musical influences stem from deep, soulful, tribal to tech-progressive sounds and he brings together these unique blend of sounds with his soulful, energetic and uplifting performances. Kenji has performed in a variety of countries like his homeground Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and Germany to name but a few.
Currently based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Kenji is a founding member of STOMP JB a bi-monthly soul and house music night with DJ Carl Hinds and uses this platform to promote not just his first love house music but other genres too and
with that he hopes he is doing something to promo a healthier and genuine clubbing scene in this city.
Current by-the-pool DJ at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast on every Tuesday –Saturday, 2pm-5pm
