C'est toujours un grand plaisir d'accueillir Nickodemus à La Clusaz. 
Cela doit être la 5ème fois que cela arrive.
Ce coup ci nous l'avons "attraper" à la sortie de l'avion pour le mettre aux platines.
Notre globe trotter était un peu fatigué, plutôt "jetlagué" comme on dirait en bon franglais. Cela se voit et se sent, mais cela fait le charme de ce mix d'une heure, un peu déconstruit, sans préparation, à l'instinct. 
Nicko n'est pas dans la performance, mais plutôt l'élégance et la transmission.
C'est ça l'experience!  
Nous passons allègrement d'un morceau de Soul de Sly & the Family Stone aux dernières productions de son label "Wonderwheel Recordings".

It's always a great pleasure to welcome Nickodemus in our home village La Clusaz. 
This must be the fifth time it's happened.
This time, we “caught” him as he got off the plane and put him behind the turntables.
Our globetrotter was a little tired, or rather “jetlagged”. You can see and feel it, but that's part of the charm of this hour-long mix, which is a little deconstructed, unprepared, and instinctive. 
Nicko isn't about performance, but rather elegance and transmission. 
We move effortlessly from a soul track by Sly & the Family Stone to the latest productions from his label, Wonderwheel Recordings, with a lot lot of pleasure.

To start the week, here are some deep and slick grooves to brighten up your day.
Continuing my musical journey that I’ve been sharing with you, we keep our feet on the pulse of disco music — this time also touching on deep house, with some Brazilian, Latin, and African beats, while always holding on to that soulful/funky/jazzy vibe.

I recorded this set over the weekend at home with my kids, while a pork roast was baking in the oven for our lunch. The kids were enjoying the music, playing video games, and the smell of the food was filling the room. That was the vibe of the recording, if it helps you connect with what I mean by this brief journey.

Lester Isaac - Keep Knocking [M-Sol DEEP]

DJ Set recorded live in September 2025 on the island of Florianópolis, southern Brazil.

This week I was invited to play at the Pássaro Vermelho Mostra Jazz, a series of performances with various jazz musicians — with me being the only DJ — held at the Porongo restaurant here in Florianópolis.
I recorded this set live during the performance (which took place last night), and I’m excited to share it with you here.

Jazz is not just a musical genre. It’s a perspective, a state of things, where improvisation, mistakes, and beauty are all served at the same table, allowing us to fully experience the present moment.

JAZZY BEATS - a mix of Jazzy Grooves with a disco&house touch.

1998 vinyl mixtape in the times of NYC Giant Step, Organic Grooves & Turntables on the Hudson parties as well as Sunshine & Dub Club Vienna where we were starting to play often. "A Song for You" reflects our new Nickodemus & Jay B song "Samsara" which is the 1st song on the B side (after the break). There were around 20 samples in the song & no one wanted to release it, until I met MUSH records owner Robert who took the chance & we released "A New Day" EP on vinyl.  Weaving through Jazz & Hip Hop, Dub & Music from around the World with lots of UK pressings, as I frequently bought the imports section of our local record stores Eight Ball, DanceTraxx, Satellite, etc... This was our unique sound we brought to NYC parties at the time. DL & enjoy

NIckodemus - A Song for You 1998 mixtape

Last week, someone very important to me called me on Google Meet — not to talk, but simply to keep the call open while we worked, as if we were in the same room despite the distance. We spent a few hours like that, and I kept the music playing on SoundCloud, shared between us. As we worked, we listened together, and of course, I started picking out the tracks that would fit best for a new set here on the channel.

I’m sharing this story to say that this set wasn’t made just for you to have a peaceful and relaxing moment while listening — it’s also a collection of songs that gave me that same feeling. Music connects us and helps us share our spirits, and I know we’re all doing this together. I can see it in the comments I receive here on the channel and in the way people connect to all of this.

It’s truly something special. Thank you so much for all the love and support. You mean a lot to me.
