Currently spinning a mix of Bass House, G-house, and Rap influenced Bass music. This DJ definitely has something for everyone. Tuning in to his mixes will leave listeners and dance floors alike vibin' with a peak hour type groove n' a go hard "LET'S GET IT" energy*



Aaron "Dirty" Sanchez, has been a resident of Albuquerque his entire life. To begin to tell this love story, he found his first in the sounds of his grandfather's guitar when he was merely a toddler and it wasn't long before he began to pick up the instrument on his own. As one of his earliest memories, his intrest in music continued it's expansion when he discovered his moms record player along with her disco albums and that is where the magic began. He absolutely fell in love when the 4onthefloor beats created such emotion and excitement in him, and became attached to the act of playing music.As if hypnotized by the revolution of the turntable, day after day and vinyl after vinyl, he proved to be pretty savvy at putting the needle on the record for a young child. His most favored gift for his 5th birthday? A fun sized Korg keyboard!

Throughout his childhood and into his teens, Aaron studied the guitar and the keys and was established as a young musician at his mother's church by 13 where he played the drums in the church's praise and worship team. As he hit high school he was in a band prior, but quickly made his way through multiple bands in his course there. Nothing could compare to what was about to happen next, for it would change his life in every single way. Industrial type Korn remixes of Linkin' Park songs, Daft Punk whom he discovered through cartoon network, and The Prodigy along with Aphex Twin, some hardstyle remixes given to him by a friend (although he at the time didn't know the name of the genre), and various tracks from his Dance Dance Revolution game, made up a solid portion of his ipod library. Soon tho, (through his at the time girlfriend "Celiese") he was shown a whole new dimension of sound, and that's when it hit him....ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC, more specifically HOUSE MUSIC.

Fast foward through the early days of Club 7, outdoor events like Mayflowers, April Showers, and Day n' Night.....he became so captivated by the sound that he decided it was only proper as a multi-instrumentalist he take his place in endeavoring into the magic of house music. Working with the help of his older cousin who was a producer for metal bands and programs such as Ableton Live, Fl Studio, and Garage Band; Aaron began learning to create house music of his own. Through the golden years of Electro House, accumulating a very solid library of fire tracks.....he was continually asked by friends(mostly female) why he didn't start dj-ing. Entertaining the idea in his head, and learning that quality gear was expensive and currently out of his reach, he sought a fellow dj he knew through business interactions. He was taken in as a sort of apprentice and worked on honing basic protocols of beatmatching, track selection, and phrasing on his new mentor and friend's pioneer cdj 1000's and djm 800. As a very quick learner in almost no time at all and for a purpose of standing out from your average dj, he was looking to expand his skills beyond that of just simply mixing in and out of tracks. That's when "Dirty Sanchez" was born.

In 2008, when singer-songwriter Adam Hooks relocated to Albuquerque, NM from South Dakota, he had a question: What the hell happened to Rock & Roll? Hooks was fed up with the shoe-gazing, self absorbed pablum that passed for modern indy rock and with the relentless dumbing down of the middle of the road "punk rock" being pawned off on yet another generation of kids at the mall. Where were the 21st century equivalents of The Kinks...The Replacements? In a time honored rock tradition, Hooks answered his own question by taking action and forming a band that rocks, sweats, plays hard, has fun and puts on a great show doing it. In 2009, at a recording session, Hooks, a former member of The Dim Bulbs and All She Wrote, met a couple of like minded souls who were yearning to take up the banner: Stephen Siegrist, on bass guitar, a veteran of the original London and San Francisco punk rock scenes who has played, toured the U.S. and Europe from festivals to club gigs and recorded with the likes of Thin White Rope, Eye Protection, The Surf Lords, The King Rays and The Messengers and Albuquerque native Sam Nesbitt, a hard hitting drummer who has worked with R&B legends The Temptations and The Four Tops as well as playing with The Betternauts and the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra. Jamming in the studio, the three immediately realized that they were dreaming the same dream. Adam Hooks & His HangUps was born and the band set about completing their first album "Little Lies", released in early 2010. In the short time they've been together, AH&HH has played dozens of shows, from house parties to club dates and universities and has gathered an intense fan base along the way. The trio's sound is an intriguing mixture of stark, prairie Americana veering into slamming, garage rock and roll, alternately twanging and drenched with Hooks' white noise guitar underpinned by Sam's sophisticatedly aggressive drumming and Steve's punchy, melodic bass playing. All this combines to define the songs themselves, haunting narratives from Adam's dark but somehow joyful subconscious that never fail to rock. Hooks' clear, direct vocals with sparse harmonies from Steve and Sam result in songs that hit the listener like musical Rorschach tests whose images and emotions will settle themselves into the memory for a long, long time.
