Following the release of the brilliant 'Chase EP' by YAPA (@p_yapa) on TECNO OSCURO, I have been on a voyage of discovery through an amazing form of techno, which I call ('cause I can't think of anything else to call it) 'spacewave' techno.

This brilliant genre of electro-techno is filled with load of spacey synths and sci-fi sounds that give it a hypnotic and raw feel that is weirdly addictive...and I absolutely love it...!!

This set is my first attempt at mixing this awesome form of techno and features brilliant tracks from YAPA (@p_yapa), Sean Devine (@sick-monkey-recs), Graham Walsh and Lev on @corrupt-systems, several great tracks released on Maxx Rossi's T Sessions label, and loads of others....

'Spacewave' Sci-Fi Techno Party [IN-30]

I have to confess that I absolutely love Hardgroove - in fact, I am completely obsessed with it and I always have been...since before it was even called 'hardgroove'....!!

I recently saw that people were saying it's not as popular any more, "since its peak in 2008", which I thought was hilarious...!? That is clearly complete crap and who gives a sh*t about 'popular' anyway...!!?

It's quite a broad genre, but the amazing thing about it is that, no matter what style you pick, it all goes together beautifully. Having said that the wobbly basslines and thumping kicks can make it a bit tricky to mix...as you will hear...🥴

TECNO OSCURO was established by Isca Nublar in 2021, a techno and acid techno DJ and producer whose obsessions with all forms of electronic music and Jurassic Park both began in 1993…hence the name…and the dinosaurs.
