As a Launching EP, LA Foresta Recordings welcomes Weird Sounding Dude. Hailing from Bangalore, India.
He emerged from his country's electronic music landscape in 2013.
Eventually finding a place in the Progressive House movement, the Bangalores resident would rise into one of the genre's trendsetters, with releases via The Soundgarden, Anjunadeep, and Sudbeat while earning play and support from Hernan Cattaneo,Nick Warren.
Now continuing on that upward trajectory, Weird Sounding Dude launches La Foresta Recordings with a two-track showcase entitled
'Blue Water Lilly'

EP opener and title selection 'Blue Water Lily' finds Weird Sounding Dude operating at the peak of his creative powers.
Fuelled by rhythm and groove; its warm basslines, crunchy rhythms and tight percussive arrangements resonate on a transcendent level.
Energetic and melodic across the first movement,Sitting in a cosmic yet thought-provoking space, a stunning effects narrative captivates as the interlude evolves,
flowing through mind-bending modulation, eventually spearheading a groove-centric drop and charged finale.

Moving forward to selection two Weird Sounding Dude continues his dancefloor-minded approach with 'B84' Landing with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship,
the Indian plants' multiple explosions of serotonin through hopeful overlays,
clustered effects and disorientating projections. Clever co-actions make for a break that is both dynamic and tense, flowing through flickering percussion and pyrotechnic effects,
before confidently returning to the groove for a sweeping aerial finale.

Ishan (SL) real name Ishan Attanayake is an aspiring DJ who hails from the beautiful hillside town Bandarawela in Sri Lanka. Growing up he was always driven by what he loved to do. Ever since he discovered his knack for Electronic Dance Music he knew where his heart was at and also that he wanted to spend the rest of his life doing what he loved to do the most and that was being a DJ. After a few years and some gigs later he gained his first residency at RIU Hotels and Resorts, Sri Lanka. This was an education as it was a commercial residency where he had to focus mainly on playing hip hop and R&B for the tourists, however, in the meantime he still got opportunities to play what he loved playing the most, and that was purely underground music. And then he moved to tropical paradise, Maldives and worked as a Resident DJ there for more than two years. Also he is Resident DJ of La Foresta and he has shared decks with international artists such as Armen Miran, Roy Rosenfeld, DJ Ruby, Aaron Suiss, Silver Panda, Inna Ra, Carolina Martinez. A significant turning point occurred when he went to Ultra music festival in 2017, being a raver and seeing some of his favorite idols such as Sasha, John Digweed, Henry Saiz, Nic Fanciulli, and Dubfire made him want to produce his own tunes that would give rise to the very same inspiration that he felt. Consequently he has started to experiment with production and feels that being a versatile DJ helps him in his productions. Throughout these years released his music on Soundteller Records, SLC-6 Music, Massive Harmony Records, AH Digital, Big Bells Digital, Another Life Music, Future Avenue, Deep Down Music, Sounds and Frequencies Records. In the meantime he enjoys mixing tunes that uplift his mood and mixes his own podcast series entitled “Inspiring Emotions'' Broadcasting on XBeat Radio, Belgium. He hopes to continue on his trajectory and become one of the most sought after DJs in his home country and hopefully in the future internationally. Enjoy the ride!

A pivotal moment in Ishan's career came during his attendance at the Ultra Music Festival in 2017. As a fervent admirer of artists like Sasha, John Digweed, Henry Saiz, Nic Fanciulli, and Dubfire, he found profound inspiration that fueled his desire to create his own music. Eager to evoke the same emotions in others, Ishan delved into music production, utilizing his versatility as a DJ to inform and enrich his creative output.
