Soul has said that writing songs is the only way he is able to deal with his emotional trauma, and as a result, he is able to write compelling, well thought out lyrical essays that will make listeners hit the replay button again and again. 
 
Utilizing a singing/rapping vocal inflection, he uses his vocals to add weight to his already gaudy lyricism, making him as sincere an artist as anyone you will find. Because of this, he is a very likable and relatable character on the mic, speaking to his ability to resonate with an audience. 
 
Despite having just one project under his belt, Soul is proving he is here to stay. It is only up from here for the California-based wordsmith.
