In present day life almost all people complain because they have been totally unable to achieve true peace and because despite their efforts and their attempts at happiness, they are not happy at all. The reason why people end up in such a predicament is because they try to find happiness in the wrong places and with the wrong people. 

For some, happiness is the material wealth they obtain, being able to spend their money as they like, buy whatever they want and consume more and more each day. For some, happiness is being known and admired, someone whose favor or company is sought by everyone. Such people want to be admired and imitated in everything they do. For others, happiness is escape even for a short time from the troublesome and monotonous life they lead and its problems. However, the happiness achieved by all these people is false and fleeting. Achieving everything they want and reaching targets still do not change the end result: a melancholy life filled with unhappiness and the troubles it brings with it... except for the true believers, who seek Allah's approval and are aware that their true abode is in the Hereafter.

Faith - The Way To Happiness

Happiness is something all people strive for throughout their lives, but often fail to achieve. People often look for happiness in the wrong places and with the wrong people, such as material wealth, admiration or different experiences. However, these efforts only lead to a temporary happiness. True believers, on the other hand, who seek Allah's approval and are aware that their true abode is in the Hereafter, have the chance to find true and lasting happiness.

Therefore, finding happiness requires both understanding life's purpose and seeking Allah's approval in all aspects of life. Happiness is found by submitting to Allah, Who created us, and remembering Him in our life. Our Prophet has taught us that worldly gains are only temporary and true gain is found by looking to the Hereafter. Fear of Allah and being aware of our deeds will lead us to meet Him eventually. The society of the ignorant, who deny the truths of the Qur'an, are continually troubled and unhappy.

1. Faith - The Way To Happiness - Introduction

Allah has made it clear that the life of this world is a test for mankind, and that its real purpose is to strive for the Hereafter. Our behavior in this life should be directed solely to pleasing Allah and earning His approval; to do otherwise is to deceive ourselves and lead a life of nothing but a game and a diversion. We should use our intellects to recognize this truth and seek His pleasure in all that we do, so that we may be rewarded with a better life in the Hereafter. Allah emphasizes that life is short and that we should strive to gain His approval. He warns us that those who do not take His pleasure as their main aim will waste their opportunities on empty and harmful things.

The result of this is disappointment and unhappiness. We should remember that all the blessings we have in this world are for the purpose of testing us, and that the best homecoming is in the presence of Allah. Allah has created the world and gave us life as a test. He has blessed us with worldly things to test our devotion to Him, with those who are heedless to the truth wasting their time on empty and meaningless occupations rather than striving for His approval. We must remember that the life of this world is fleeting and the opportunity to earn His approval can end at any moment.

On the Day of Judgment, those who realize this too late will regret not living by the guidance of the Qur'an. We must make the most of our lives, striving to gain Allah's approval and the eternal reward of the Hereafter.

2. Faith - The Way To Happiness: The Unhappiness Of The Society Of The Ignorant Part 1

Allah is the source of all blessings in this world, and yet many people are ignorant of this truth. As a result, they constantly suffer the same troubles and live in a world of unhappiness. This is because they are driven by a desire for admiration and praise, as revealed in the Qur'an, and are willing to lie and boast to get it. This behavior affects not only the person, but also their relationships with others, who feel uncomfortable and can become distant.

Everyone should reflect on this, recognize Allah's blessings, and act in accordance with the values of the Qur'an instead. The life of this world is nothing but an illusory pleasure. Allah points out in the Qur'an that people have been given everything they need, yet they are ungrateful and become attached to material possessions, leading to miserliness and a deep unhappiness. This selfish behavior also leads to social injustice, as the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Allah warns that on the Day of Judgment, those who cling to wealth will have it hung around their necks. People must understand the true nature of worldly life, that it is a game and diversion, and that the true pleasure lies in the Hereafter. Allah is the one and only deity, and all other objects and creatures are not to be given the same respect and reverence as Him. Ascribing partners to Allah is a grave mistake and is seen as a terrible wrong that will not be forgiven. When people do this, it leads to unhappiness and fear, as they are trying to gain the approval of something other than Allah.

Love should only be shown to Allah, Who is the only one Who deserves it, and it should reflect His greatness. People who ascribe partners to Allah are unable to do this, and instead remain in unconsciousness, leading to a blind love for things that don't deserve it.

3. Faith - The Way To Happiness: The Unhappiness Of The Society Of The Ignorant Part 2

Allah warns us that Satan is an enemy to us and advises us to take precautions against his mischief. In order to protect ourselves from Satan, we must try to live in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah of our Prophet (saas). Satan is an enemy to Allah and mankind, trying to distance people from Allah and His will. He deceives and corrupts people by filling them with doubt and empty fancies. People are unaware of Satan's existence and of how dangerous he is, which gives him an opportunity to turn them against Allah and His religion.

Satan will use any method he can to lead people astray and fill them with false hope. The only way to protect ourselves from Satan is to follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas). Satan tries to use every opportunity to drive people away from Allah and His scriptures and make them rebellious against religion. One of these situations is when a person sinks into hopelessness or pessimism. However, Allah sends troubles and difficulties as a way of testing people and helping them to find the true path.

When faced with such events, one should remain patient, remember Allah and ask for His help, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, who never lost hope despite being in the most dangerous of situations. This track is about how Allah guides His believers and how Satan leads people astray through emotionalism. Allah encourages His believers to trust in Him and remain hopeful in difficult times, while Satan encourages people to rely on their emotions rather than on logic. Allah is the ultimate source of hope, and those who choose to follow Him are rewarded with peace, good cheer and a balanced personality.

4. Faith - The Way To Happiness: Satan, The Voice Of Misery

Because of this, they live in comfort and at ease, no matter what their conditions may be. Their only concern is to make Allah pleased with them. They live by the rule of Allah and try to do what is pleasing to Him and to stay away from doing what is displeasing to Him. They never forget that one day they will leave this world and that their lives will come to an end, that Allah will call them to account for what they have done and that they will receive their recompense for their deeds. Allah is the source of true happiness.

Believers acknowledge this and strive to live their lives according to His will, seeking His good pleasure. They accept the responsibility of being accountable to Him in the afterlife and are devoted to Him and fear none but Him. They make sacrifices for the sake of Allah, knowing that His mercy and reward are far greater than any temporal pleasure. As a result, they live in comfort and ease, with no fear or worry, trusting in Allah to provide and guide.

Prophet Yusuf (as) rejected the woman's advances and remained loyal to Allah. Believers have a strong and devoted love for Allah and strive to gain His approval. They prioritize His will above all else, foregoing worldly possessions and pleasures in order to secure His pleasure and admission to Paradise. Believers accept hardships if necessary in order to serve Allah, as demonstrated by the Prophet Yusuf, who was loyal to Allah despite the temptations of the wife of the governor. Such faith and devotion to Allah brings believers permanent joy and happiness, even in difficult times. Allah guides believers to the path of peace, providing them with joy and tranquility from which they strive to gain His approval and love.

Prophet Yusuf exemplified this moral excellence by choosing imprisonment over behavior which would have displeased Allah, and this determination is an important example to all believers. The joy and happiness brought by striving for Allah's approval is something only the faithful can experience, and is a source of eagerness to earn His approval even more. With faith, believers are able to find true happiness and peace in life.

5. Faith - The Way To Happiness: The Secret Of Happiness: Allah's Good Pleasure

For believers, Allah is the source of true happiness and joy. He has promised them that He will be with them and not forsake them and He has promised them mercy and forgiveness. He has also promised them a beautiful worldly life and eternal bliss in the Garden of Paradise. Therefore, believers should be grateful for Allah's mercy and generosity and put their trust in Him, knowing that He will always be with them. Believers can take comfort in Allah's mercy and generosity, knowing that He will never leave them alone and without aid.

Allah has given them the good news of His mercy and good pleasure, and of Gardens where they will enjoy everlasting delight. He has also promised them a beautiful worldly life and eternal bliss in the Garden of Paradise. In exchange for these favors, believers must show their gratitude to Allah and praise His name. All of these fears are baseless and without foundation for the believers.

Allah's mercy and His love for them prevent them from ever having to suffer any of these worries. Believers have a deep devotion to Allah, and this is what brings them true happiness and peace. This devotion is manifested in their humility and trust, and is rewarded with Allah's mercy and benevolence. As revealed in the Qur'an, Allah promises believers eternal blessings in Paradise for their faith, as well as spiritual contentment in this life, even if they are materially poor. Allah's mercy and love bring them peace of mind, protecting them from fears of the future, poverty and death. Allah's mercy is a source of comfort and contentment for believers.

Through sincere faith in Allah and submission from the heart, believers are able to stay away from worldly stresses and fears, remain optimistic and cheerful, and see the good in all circumstances. Furthermore, believers turn to Allah in both times of hardship and ease, and through this powerful devotion they are granted Allah's mercy and approval.

6. Faith - The Way To Happiness: Perpetual Happiness Belongs To Believers

Allah sent the Prophet Yusuf (as) and other prophets to transmit the good news of His religion, provide an example of good character and warn people of the Hereafter. These prophets remained patient and dedicated in their tasks, and their lives provide an excellent example for believers.

Prophet Yusuf's life in particular is praised in the Qur'an, as he showed courage and intelligence in following Allah's path and was adopted as an "intimate friend" by Allah. Allah showed His mercy to the Prophet Ibrahim (as), allowing him to call on his Lord and never be disappointed. Yusuf's father Propeht Ya'qub (as) was similarly blessed, as Allah answered his prayer for an heir and made the Prophet Yusuf a pious child. Despite the difficulties of leaving his family, the Prophet Ibrahim was able to follow Allah's guidance and gain His approval. Through the examples of Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Ya'qub, and Propbet Yusuf, Allah shows that He will always rescue His true servants and bring them contentment. Prophet Ya'qub was devoted to Allah and followed His guidance in the face of adversity when his sons, out of jealousy, cast Prophet Yusuf into a well.

Although Prophet Yusuf was rescued from the well and later gained power and wisdom in Egypt, Prophet Ya'qub still remained loyal to Allah, hoping He would reunite him with his sons. Allah rewarded Prophet Ya'qub for his faith and steadfastness by eventually reuniting him with both Prophet Yusuf and his other son. This is an example that those who follow Allah's guidance will be rewarded and find contentment.

7. Faith - The Way To Happiness: The Happiest People: The Prophets

Allah's remembrance is indeed the greatest thing that can bring peace to the hearts. Believers in Allah demonstrate an unending joy and cheerfulness in their lives, which comes from their faith. This peace and contentment removes all cause for material and spiritual discomfort. The guidance of the Qur'an ensures believers always have a cheerfulness which cannot be diminished by any circumstance. Disbelievers are constantly unhappy and unable to enjoy life in the true sense, and cannot comprehend the joy of faith.

Believers bring calm and cheer to those around them, and experience the greatest degree of high spirits due to their sincere faith in Allah, a blessing that is promised to them in the Qur'an. Allah is the source of spiritual strength for believers. Those who put their faith in Him will find peace and joy in their hearts, enabling them to strive towards Allah's approval. This strength gives them the power to stay patient and vigorous in difficult times, and motivates them to look for further good deeds. Believers can rely on Allah to provide them with spiritual strength that will never tire them, making them happy in this world and the next. Allah is the ultimate source of truth and goodness, and believers who have faith in Him are driven by an intense desire to please Him and fulfill His will.

This zeal is reflected in their sincere actions, which are done without expecting any personal gain. On the other hand, those who do not believe in Allah are apathetic and lack enthusiasm in any task they take on, and the results of their efforts are often wasted. Allah promises believers a reward for their earnest actions and dedication, granting them peace and security in their faith.

8. Faith - The Way To Happiness: The Happiness And Blessings Brought By Faith

Allah promises believers an eternal life of happiness and blessings in Paradise. The environment of Paradise, free from the imperfections of the life of this world, is filled with natural wonders and luxuries, and will be experienced by believers in the presence of Allah. Believers will be rewarded with eternal joy and happiness in Paradise, as promised by Allah. In this place of delight, they will be adorned with silk and satin, gold and pearls, and blessed with spouses of unblemished beauty. Allah will also grant them perfect comfort, luxury, and freedom from worldly needs and discomforts.

Furthermore, believers will be surrounded by other sincere believers, free from any negative attributes. Paradise is a gift from Allah, and the greatest pleasure is to be reunited with His mercy.
