Decades on, the time has come for Island Issues, in collaboration with Onis, to proudly dust off a selection of Cesar de Melero & Mr. Claude’s productions that have shaped the highs of countless nights.

Side A opens with D.O.D.’s “1, 2, 3, 4”, a trusted tool for DJs worldwide since 1997. While the elusive “De Pompidou’s Mix”, previously only available on the Sónar ’99 CD compilation, makes its first appearance on vinyl, revealing a deeper, late-night dimension.

On the flip, D.D.D.’s “Moovin’ (Bisexual Mix)” channels pure 1996 rave energy, turning the core sample shared with the A-side into a raw and infectious groove. Closing the record,                “The Struggle” weaves a James Baldwin speech into layers of warm, old-school deepness, sustaining tension and purpose until the very last bar.

Some mixes feel like a night out; others feel like paging through someone’s most private record shelf, each pull revealing a new side of the story. The latest art:cast, °188, leans toward the latter - an invitation into a world where groove, subtlety, and deep knowledge converge. Guiding us through that world is Dylan Rutledge, better known as Goodtunes97, one of the West Coast’s most respected diggers and selectors.

Dylan doesn’t just play records, he lives them: running the Goodtunes label, curating two recommendable YouTube channels, and circulating rare finds as both a collector and a seller. That broad perspective is etched into the DNA of his art:cast, which digs as deep as his crates do. It’s housey, minimal, and funky, laced with a laid-back Cali attitude that gradually tightens its grip as the mix evolves - building toward clubbier peaks, break-esque turns, and darker notes that give the ride its shape.

The result is simply what a mix should be: a journey of discovery, a shifting play of moods, and a reminder that the right records, in the right hands, can redraw the map of where we thought the night might go.

In the shadowed hills beyond the old monastery, where vines strangled pillars and silence lay thick as dust, there existed a forgotten garden — one not marked on any map. They called it the Garden of Stone and Scale.

Nobody knew who built it. Local legend claimed it had once been a sanctuary for ancient artists, or perhaps a temple to gods whose names had been eroded by time. But everyone agreed on two things: the statues were unlike anything else in the world, and the snakes were always watching.

Mr Ho is invited in to remix Adam Curtain on a new EP launched off the back of a new record label from the Love International crew. This one focusses on the slightly darker, moodier undertones of club culture.

Smooth operator Lamalice is back on Anthea’s Partisan label with Dysproprioception, a four-track release that leans into the French producer’s talent for atmospheric club tools. Driven by rhythm, serious swing, and a heavy low-end, the record moves with an effortless flow that pulls dancers deeper into its groove. 
While vocal fragments fade like half-remembered conversations, acidic flourishes sharpen the edges. Each track balances functionality with mood, providing DJs with tools that lock the floor while carrying their own character — these are weapons for the floor. 
The spotlight falls on B1, “CONTROL”, where Lamalice weaves his own vocals into a beautiful stripped framework — a cut already making its presence felt on the dancefloor.
