This is an album of covers I did of songs I like. I recorded all of the guitars and about half of the bass myself. The drums and some of the bass are digital. I had so much trouble with Nightmare's song because it had so many parts that I barely knew and learned on the spot, plus I had to use my pedal to get some of the weird high pitched sounds. The other song that was a pain was Killswitch Engage's My Curse because I think I literally learned it as I recorded it. The fingering positions were really funky at first. The one song I learned as I recorded but had almost no trouble may have been Atreyu's Shameful. I had the luxury of having the master tracks and was able to isolate everything to learn it properly. I had some fun with this album. The track list is:

*Just to clarify, I recorded all of the guitars and most of the bass on all of these tracks. If anything else sounds like the real song, that is because it is. I recorded the guitar parts over the real song. I claim no ownership to any of the song writings other than the recorded guitar playing.

Opaline Dirge is the hymn of the fallen dawn — an elegy sung through refracted light and mourning rain. It is said that this album was not composed, but revealed — unearthed from beneath the ruins of forgotten cathedrals where sound had turned to stone.
The “opaline” is not gemstone, but the light of dying angels, crystallized at the end of their descent. The dirge itself is their requiem — a song carried through eternity by those who remember loss as a form of worship.
Each track within this record is a chamber of reflection, a cathedral of tears: Bryce’s chords shimmer like the last glint of a dying sun; Selestia’s bass hums with subterranean grief; Michael’s drums toll like heartbeats beneath marble tombs; and [Singer] voice — ethereal, spectral — becomes the spirit that guides listeners through the corridors of remembrance.
It is said that listening to Opaline Dirge under moonlight can awaken visions of one’s past lives — fragments of beauty and ruin entwined. The final track, “The Choir Beneath the Glass,” is rumored to contain a frequency that mirrors the resonance of human sorrow itself — a tone lost to language, felt only in the marrow.
