underground dnb production duo + dj & mc live performances

isobaric + concept = the 2 headed dnb duo known as isocon repping Washington, DC & Virginia, USA.

Isobaric & Concept came up in the Washington, DC dnb/breaks scenes, both as producers & respectively as a DJ & MC.

Isobaric started with the Parametrics crew & engineered the Accela, Knuckledown, & Anox projects with 12″ releases on Rawkuts, Nerve Recordings UK, & Ohm Resistance in dnb’s golden age.

Concept produced as part of the Hidden Forces crew, which had digital releases on Influenza & Psidream’s label, Epidemic Recordings, as well as a 12” release on Unstable Label during the Nu Skool Breaks era of the early '00s.

They both also played out together at various venues throughout DC, including Buzz, Alias, The Edge, Singapore Bistro & other classic U Street venues.

In the new era of dnb these old friends have combined forces to produce tunes of varying styles & influences, always giving a nod to dnb’s history while keeping an eye on the burgeoning underground.

Upon being bitten by a werewolf sometime during the early 1990's, Tricky Pat was gunned down in a blaze of silver bullets by local lycanthrope experts just days after.


As legend goes, he shall arise every full moon in search of blood and lust.............

Joanna O. has been a fixture in the U.S. Drum & Bass scene since 1998, known for her smooth mixing and deep selections that blend soulful liquid and jungle influences. With a career spanning over two decades, she has played an integral role in shaping the sound of Drum and Bass music in Richmond, Virginia, and beyond.

From 2003 to 2016, Joanna owned and curated Turnstyle, an all-vinyl record store and streetwear boutique in Richmond, which became a hub for underground music and culture. Today, Turnstyle continues as a digital platform, supporting music, fashion, and art.

As a DJ and event promoter, Joanna has been instrumental in building and supporting the East Coast’s Drum & Bass community. Her experience and well-crafted sets have led her to share the stage with many of the genre’s most respected artists. In 2024, she joined 2 TUFF, one of Washington, D.C.’s longest-running DnB crews, further expanding her reach.

Beyond the club, Joanna has hosted "Frequency" on WRIR 97.3 FM since 2005, making it one of The USA’s longest-running electronic music radio shows. Broadcasting every Saturday from 9–11 PM ET, the show showcases her signature selections along with guest mixes from top names and up and coming talents in the scene.

Whether through her radio show, DJ sets, or mix series, Joanna continues to push the sound of Drum & Bass forward.
