Shocked by the essence of ‘macabre’, Swiss multi-instrumentalist and producer Jimi Jules refers to the first surviving animal sent into space in his upcoming EP “Ham The Monkey”. With a speed of 4,500 km/h, the four year old monkey “Ham” was the first living being fired into the atmosphere. A journey against his will.

Jules reflects the feelings and sounds felt from being trapped and out of control throughout the tracks - notably in “Grumpy Monkey” and
“Tinnitus". Continuing the development of interplay between the artist and listener whilst endeavoring to blur the worlds of sound and art, the EP features evolving imagery created by digital artists Claudia Rafael and Pascal Wiemers.

Also, our number one hit guarantor, JÜRGEN PAAPE, is represented here with his brand-new super hit ‘Alone In Italy’. His colleague MICHAEL MAYER is also in top disco spirits with ‘Talmi’. One of the secret weapons of the current season comes from STEPHAN BARNEM & FUTURISTANT. ‘Don’t Cry’ is a passionate New Wave belter for eternity. JÖRG BURGER proclaims a new, trippy genre: Cinematic Dance, before C.A.R. & PATRICE BÄUMEL slowly raise the energy level in the ‘Four Down’ Club Mix. JOHN TEJADA then cruises calmly at the desired cruising altitude while the cabin crew serves refreshments. ‘Duration’ by BARNT/MAYER pays tribute to an artist formerly known as Prince with grand rave romanticism, and about REX THE DOG’s summer smash hit ‘Change This Pain For Ecstasy’, there’s really nothing more to say. The Thuringian force of nature ROBAG WRUHME must not be missing here, of course. ‘Fire’ once again shows him in top form, with one of the dirtiest basslines in techno history. Joining us from London is HARDT ANTOINE, who spells u n d e r s t a t e m e n t with ‘All We See’. Pianeti Sintetici presents AI-37, entitled ‘Space Opera’. Conceived by Italian artist Davide Perrone, the Pianeti Sintetici (“Synthetic Planets”) project hypothesises the creation of future synthetic worlds as told through sound. Although split across two parts, the album is a singular organism that narrates a journey of boundless cosmic exploration. A sonic tapestry woven of intergalactic atmospheres, Space Opera’s imaginative sound design contributes to a richly spatial and haptic experience.

Taking place in the dimly lit crevices of deepest space, a swirling pool of chemical abstractions and extraterrestrial transmissions spumes out from the darkness. Elements weave through broad washes of drones and scintillating textures, contrasting a sparse backdrop with dense and multilayered passages. Composed with the use of modular synthesisers and intense audio manipulations, ‘Space Opera’ comes to life as an entity that transports the listener on an immersive journey into the mysteries of alien worlds.

Turkey’s Procombo debuts on CLR with the ‘Upscale’ EP

Istanbul’s Procombo arrives on Chris Liebing’s CLR for the first time, dropping the two-track ‘Upscale’ EP 18th July 2025. The title track sees the RX boss deploy a nimble and precise cut that, despite its heavyweight low-end punch, glides smoothly over evolving synth loops. It’s muscular, meticulous, and perfectly engineered intensity.

'Be Alive' is a rolling juggernaut of a track built for shadowy warehouses and heads-down moments. Dystopian sirens wail through the mix like warning signals amidst flickering neon ruins. There’s a constant sense of unease, a creeping tension that builds and builds brilliantly, closing out a package already supported by the likes of Peder Mannerfeldt, Emerald, and Elisa Bee.

Procombo has been a pillar of his native Istanbul scene since the mid-90s, as a DJ, producer, and label head of RX Recordings, an offshoot of the influential former RX Istanbul club he helmed. He's well known in heady Techno circles for his work on Radio Slave’s Rekids label, Planet Rhythm, and now Chris Liebing's legendary CLR.

Founded by Techno pioneer Chris Liebing in 1999 and relaunched in 2021 after a five-year break, CLR has featured heavyweights like Shlomi Aber, Dubfire, Flug, and Bjarki, while championing rising talents including Risa Taniguchi and Klint.

Info: Arian Alexander (aka White Afghani) hits the Apparel Tronic main catalogue with Tales From The Backyard, a three-tracker that sounds like it was recorded on a dusty cassette left out in the sun, full of stunningly beautiful imperfections, minutiae and sonic history. It’s a Lo-fi EP at heart but rhythmically very sharp, drifting between grainy textures, deep techno grooves, and a subtle eerie, nostalgic, elegant touch you keep on discovering after each listening session. From the off-kilter bounce of the opening Escape Congo to the fast-burn swagger of Cougar, and finally the profound and intense haze of Before Leaving, there’s a kind of casual intimacy running through it all. Nothing here is trying to be flashy, just music that knows what it’s doing and lets the many hidden details do the talking. Arian’s been building a name for himself through a very personal brand of sound that wander between breakbeat, ambient, UK bass and oddball techno, always with his own logic and his classy style. This EP feels like an off-mic moment from one of his sets, something personal, a bit sideways, and totally comfortable in its own skin.
