What’s that? You want to know my story?

Well, I started making beats as a teenager, being influenced by artists such as The Neptunes, Hi-Tek, Timbaland, Kanye, and Dr Dre to name a few.

I originally began my musical journey by writing rhymes, but quickly realized that it was more fun and rewarding to make the music that elevates the raps.

Not only was it fun, I also wanted to make people feel the things my heroes were able to make me feel. It was all about telling stories that evoke imagery in the mind’s eye. (Listen to “Rainy Daze” and “Uttafor Boksen”.)

My goal when creating music has always been to create something that would help people get in touch with their emotions and really feel something, be it sadness, joy, or just feeling like a badass! (Listen to “Sorrow” and “Do The Boss Brush”.)

There is also something to be said about challenging yourself and having a beat change and evolve rather than looping the same few bars. I wanted to make my beats into living things that artists had to wrangle and tame in order to make the best songs possible! (Listen to “Sarif” and “Revenge”.)

My music has evolved over the years, and I’ve had an on-and-off relationship with it. I’ve quit music, sworn never to make another beat, felt an intense yearning to get back into it, loved it, and hated it.

But I keep coming back to it, whether intentionally or by some cosmic power pulling me back in.

I’ve come to realize that art is a force of life, it connects us through stories and shared emotions in a profound way. 

I want to continue to be part of that, and I urge others to also find their truth and passion, be it music, painting, film… If it comes from the heart, it will save souls.
