"Noćne šetnje" ("Night walks") is a song originally written and performed by Borghesia. Originally appearing on their 1985 studio album "Ljubav je hladnija od smrti" ("Love Is Colder Than Death"), this particular song has recently been revived in a cover version form, recorded exclusively for the compilation album "Their Music, Our Lives" - a v/a collection of tributes to Borghesia, initiated, curated and released by Domagoj Kršić on his Room Tracks label. This cover version also features a secret guest appearance by the gorgeous Popsimonova, without whom...

Seth Troxler's agenda setting Play It Say It label is back with more summer heat, this time from American duo Ataxia.

Hailing from Detroit, this pair have recently played the famous Movement Festival in their home city for the fifth time, work with top labels like Nervous Records and Culprit LA and have already impressed with a fine EP on Leftroom this year. Their sound is designed to get the party started, and after already releasing on this label in 2016 they are now back with three more essential tracks.

Up first, the terrific 'Time Original' is a fluid and wriggling tech cut with busy synth lines scurrying about over driving drums. It's dark and freaky with poised chord stabs and the whole thing cannot fail to get floors moving.

Then comes 'Supertouch', which is a superbly slick acid number. Weird bleeps and clipped vocals add an unhinged edge to the urgent rubbery drums and the whole thing is a mind melting number that will take any set to the next level.

Last of all is the vital 'Villains', seven inventive minutes of gurgling bass, alien sound design and wonky synth lines that all warp around each other and melt your mind as they do so. Colourful and full of character thanks to a rapped vocal line, this one is a real party anthem in the making.

Across all three cuts here this talented duo really show off their wide range of studio.

Based in Berlin, Lemon Test has garnered a reputation for its quality podcast series over the last year, featuring names such as John Osborn, Christopher Breuer and Simon Caldwell. The platform now launches itself as a forward thinking imprint for producers, showcasing artists who have caught their eye from across the globe without being confined to one genre. Club Mayz is the first to appear on the label, a producer from Ghent who debuted on Wool-E Tapes with his darkwave synth album ‘The Void’ on cassette back in 2015.
‘Tristique’ is a meandering, effervescent ride that builds in atmosphere as stellar chords ebb in and out of the mix before ‘Alone and Unafraid’ takes us to space with its syncopated groove drizzled in elements of nostalgia. Continuing the otherworldly aesthetic, ‘Solipsist Debauchery’ takes that cosmic noise even further, upping the energy as mesmerising synths and spectral melodies operate throughout. Following up to his 2017-released album „Nebula“ our man from Greece Petros Manganaris a.k.a. Echonomist presents a set of four brand new reworks for tracks featured on the album as his first single to be released in 2k18 via Upon.You Records. Upon.You Records' creative mastermind Marco Resmann is at the controls for a remix of „Cosmos“, providing an endless, spiralling ride through space and time, fueled by humungous waves of warm, sawtooth subs and complex, heavenly pads paving the way for an intricate synth motif of unquestioned, space age-influenced beauty.

Echonomist himself provides an update – not: remix - for „Metamorphosis“, taking the original tune deeper into stripped down Intelligent Techno realms whilst keeping up with the flickering (Neo)Cosmic synth fountains to be found in the tunes original version.

The ever busy Doctor Dru is at the controls for a rework of „Metamorphosis“ which consciously is balancing the thin line between Deep Techno for timelessly flowing late night sessions and tenderly floating elements of highly intelligent Trance (Not Trance). Carefully arranging heavenly pads and employing a changed main motif this hyperclean, minimalist re-cut will be making its way into DJ's crates as a special weapon for special moments for a reason. 

With their take on „Perasma“ we see Chaim & Jenia Tarsol provide a unique musical vision which offers an unequalled fusion of pumping, hypnotic TechHouse, raw, yet defined vintage synth figures and the damp heat of ethnic trance employed via minimalist tribal percussions and the (ab)use of warped South American-flute sequences.
