The Clash 1982 classic "Straight to Hell" from the "Combat Rock" album has become one of the band's best loved songs, providing the raw material for future creations. Here the veteran reggae vocalist, graduate of Sir Coxsone Dodd's Studio One University of musical knowledge. Known for destroying musical barriers and giving voice to sufferers the world over, Andy takes up a song first sung by Joe Strummer. The pair first collaborated in 1999. Strummer had written the militant title track to Andy’s "Living in the Flood" album. Recently Milwaukee singer/guitarist/songwriter Eric Blowtorch, who’s worked with many reggae artists over the years and had known Strummer, asked Andy if it was true he’d once sung his own version of a Clash song.

Yes, Andy replied, he’d once recorded a version of “Straight to Hell,” but he didn’t like the way it turned out. He felt it needed a new rhythm track. Blowtorch felt a jolt of anticipation. Out of that conversation comes one of 2016’s most arresting reggae releases: Horace Andy bringing his singular style to a brand new roots reggae recording of “Straight to Hell,” to be released via 12-inch single on Fe True Records  March 16th and via digital download on April 14th. Andy's voacal is backed with a dub side plus Big Youth's deejay version, "Asylum Seekers." Do remember 10 per cent of proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders, the international organization who tend to the health needs of people in the most dangerous places.

With Blowtorch’s Welders bandmate and Fe True Records founder Michael “Dr. Bassie” Bell on bass, celebrated Latin drummer Cecilio Negron, Jr., on drum kit, Milwaukee soul/jazz/chansons singer Robin Pluer on organ, and an all-pro horn section, this take on “Straight to Hell” – which first appeared on the Clash’s Combat Rock in 1982 – captures the song’s cry of compassion for refugees and immigrants.

No but forreal I did this mix full of different flavas of Jersey Club. A worldly mix based on my travels. It includes Jersey Soca, Dupstep included Jersey Club, Ballroom/ Vogue, Booty Bounce Music, and even a cool collab with Italian Raper Phra to show how diverse this genre is and where I'm personally trying to take it. Most of this mix is full of my productions, and lil black rave babe raps so I hope you guys enjoy it. Turn the volume up, and have fun <3

A little over a year out from the release of their stunning debut album IN TIME, Melbourne duo TIME FOR DREAMS are set to release an ep of remixes from the album in conjunction with announcing a re-press of the very quickly sold out VINYL edition.

The IN TIME REMIX EP features 5 of Melbourne’s most exciting electronic artists :

DREAM KIT: aka producer Declan Kelly, remixes ‘MOVE IT’ into a minimal dub slow jam, while devcore electronic producer
GERYON warps Amanda’s vocals and takes the track ‘LIGHTHOUSE’ on a glitchy and sparkling journey into a cloudless sky. VARIOUS ASSES deconstructs ‘NEWSCENE’ in remix that confounds the very notion of tempo, Nice Music label head SIMON J KARIS’ interprets the track ‘PROJECTS’ through a hazy lens of burnt out party addled euphoria, and Time For Dreams’ own electronic producer; TOM CARLYON takes the moody ‘STRANGER’ and drops it into a cavern where it bounces off itself, echoing and weaving into something new entirely.

IN TIME REMIXES will be available as a digital EP on December 14th through Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and across all streaming platforms and will also come as a bonus download when buying the album re-press.

'Run Out' is the first single to drop from the hotly anticipated: In Every Dream Home: the debut album from Melbourne synth-punk band ATOM. A new project/ collaboration between a trio of Melbourne post-punk heavyweights: Harry Howard (Crime and the City Solution, These Immortal Souls, Pink Stainless Tail, Harry Howard and the NDE), Edwina Preston (The Moll Flanders Band, Harry Howard & The NDE) and Ben Hepworth (REPAIRS, Eastlink). Dual vocals (Harry & Edwina) synth, keyboards, drum machine and scorching guitar make for a razor-sharp piece of dark and edgy synth pop. The result sits somewhere between Chrome and The Cramps, Suicide and the B52’s, with a haze of Hawkwind. Dirty, swampy New Wave.

CLUBCHELLA : UNIIQU3 LIVE AT COACHELLA 2019 #HEINEKENHOUSE

The title track and third single from Claire Birchall's upcoming bedroom synth-pop record (out April 2020). 'Running In Slow Motion' sounds like a cut from the credits of an 80's sci-fi flick you didn't know existed. A melancholy dark wave anti-ballad with a vocal hook that'll have you singing into your hairbrush.

“Bad For My Health is about the conflicting ideas of wanting to be left alone while realising that ultimately it's not very good for you to be alone. It's quirky, definitely our most child-friendly song as such it seemed out of place on the L.P. As it goes the lyric has taken on some extra relevance.
We took minor liberties with Heroes. Nothing major. We just paid it the respect of not being slavish copyists, which it surely deserves.”
