Normally, podcasts are easy to do and being motivated, one goes to work in exciting anticipation to let the latest delicacies and accumulated "podcast records" shine.
At 3hrs 33min though, the situation is different. We rummaged deep in the record crate, full of enthusiasm knowing exactly what was being played. Dissatisfied with the result and a musical existential crisis not far away, we reflected and rethought the essence of our music: who are we and what do we want anyway? With detective acumen, we conducted acquisitions for weeks and dove into old and new realms in search of the undefinable. Back to the roots...

I started performing my live set about 2 years ago,
and it has been quite the journey.

For me, a whole new world has opened up: 
More challenging, yet more exciting...
More personal, therefore more vulnerable...
More improvised and also leaves more room for “errors”...

After almost two years of playing almost only live, I played at @la_pizzinetulum . This was, from my experience, the most expansive, diverse and interesting set I've ever played. And the crowed there, true music lovers, were there for the whole ride...  

Sometimes, after a night like this, I listen to the recoding and some things are off, but this time, I feel like this set can represents me.
I hope you'll enjoy this 3 hour live journey at least as much as I did...

While oxymOre (or oxymoron in English) can be used as a device to reveal a paradox, it is the identity of my DJ personality. It's meant to convey how contradictory things can still harmoniously create something that would not exist individually.

DJ oxymOre's message is to deliver progressive sound that usually starts in one point and transcends to another (or others) that will all go in harmony together whether they are synonyms or antonyms. The sound of DJ oxymOre is to tell the story of "living in spectrum" and even when not, the two sides being together will create something beautiful and meaningful. @jessica-mordo and I teamed up back to back for this set, for the annual Salty Jack's camp fundraiser. The vibes were high and the air salty, with lobsters, squid, narwhals, and sharks glistening and undulating on the dancefloor together in harmony. It was a magical night.

This year, I had the incredible honor of attending and playing at all 3 @camp_alborz fundraisers, which took place in LA, DC, & NY. It was a privilege to be part of these events before our camp heads to Burning Man. Although I won’t be making it to the ‘Playa’ this year, being a part of these events gives me a unique sense of participation & connection. I played at a late hour into sunrise, during which I embarked on an adventurous, weeeeeird, eclectic, & risky musical journey. I hope it resonates with you!
