A true veteran of the underground music and party scene in his native Marseille, Lionel Corsini, aka DJ Oil released his well-received solo debut as recently as 2012 (Black Notes for French label Discograph) but is probably better known as one part of The Troublemakers, who had the distinction of being signed to both the legendary ‘90s house label Guidance and the most famous of all jazz labels, Blue Note. Nonetheless, the trajectory from Guidance to Blue Note gives you some idea of the range of Oil’s music. From country blues, through township jive and Rahsaan Roland Kirk-style ‘flute’ vocalizations, with the occasional nod to four-to-the-floor house, DJ Oil runs the musical gamut, using modern technology to recreate the virtual orchestra existing in his head and gifting us an astonishingly assured and rather exceptional album, which surely should break this stalwart of the French underground scene to a larger international audience. Just before the release on R&S for the first album he presents this mix under his influence and emblematic artists. Enjoy⚡

William Winding is an eclectic Copenhagen mainstay, long-time DJ and producer with a taste for most things electronic, dealing in neon-drenched Italo Disco, sun-kissed House and Balearic exotica.
He has two singles out and an EP on the way(coming April 28th!) under his House music moniker Wille, via Kenneth Bagers legendary label Music For Dreams.

Being William’s childhood pet-name, Wille channels a childlike sense of melodic intuition and an attitude of never second guessing yourself. From his cosy studio in Sydhavnen, he produces music with a hybrid setup of warm analog synthesizers, and stone cold samples of the past.

EPICAST #012 - Wille

John Parsley is a Swiss artist from Zurich. He discovered his love of music many years ago, as a drummer in rock bands, then later with the first MPC sampler, his fondness of TripHop and electronic music.  Today he produces mainly electronic music across the full spectrum. Apart from playing as Dub and Roots Reggae DJ, he has never worked as a DJ.  He devotes himself chiefly and continuously to production. With this he is always looking for new ways to lend his feelings expression in music.  Sometimes sombre, sometimes trancelike rhythmical but always in his own style.  From House to Tribe music, in addition dark TripHop and  driven dancefloor killers, he does not let himself be caught up in any one genre.  He does what he feels like doing and what he loves doing. With recurring releases on labels such as NEIN, Sulk Magic, Lustpoderosa or Roam Records he proves over and over again that his music convinces, without  huge social media presence  or his having to move within the night life scene. He feels most at home in understatement.  What pleases him most is when he is recognized by his music.

Directly influenced from Black American music, this young fella began his career spinning 45s in the Bcn Soul and rhythm and blues scene, taking ebony beats as its spine his need to explore and discover new sounds never finish, giving a polyfacetic result behind the decks meticulously calculated for dance floor action success.

Since 2016 he Co-runs Reel to Reel, a London born Barcelona based dance club. R2R is specially focused in the soulful side of advanced dance music, high octane Disco, crazy ass synths, boogie funk and unlimited coolness.

Describes himself as a local scene activist and supporter of the club culture preservation, he did in many of the Finest parties in town, like Glove Party, DROP, Freedonia club among others, also cities like London, Manchester, Liverpool, Zurich, Luzern, Milano, Buenos Aires gave up to his Booty shakin'tunes.
