Mix.82 – Adrian Marth

There's an immersive and psychedelic quality to Tagliabue's music. Whether it's his DJ sets or his own creations, the Milan-based sound engineer, DJ and producer puts emotion front and centre, drawing inspiration from his natural surroundings — in this case, his home of Italy.

As a leading figure in the alternative music scene in the country, his interests lie in musical research which helps him authentically craft secular-leaning sonics that honour tradition whilst looking firmly to the future. Blending elements of folk, ambient and trance through the use of experimental and contemporary electronic techniques, he blurs the boundaries of genre, which can be heard via releases for Blue Sea, Lustpoderosa and Cosmica Music.

Tagliabue: The 'Wednesday Alternative' Mix

Operating in Saint-Étienne, France, the DJ and producer Jacques Satre has been an eminent local player within a communal, energetic scene; his recent releases of kaleidoscopic dancefloor tunes on Worst Records, Metaphore Industrie and Vernacular Records have unveiled his talent of producing fantastic music, broadcasting his name out to an increasingly wider audience. The tracks of Jacques Satre display a great deal of lush, varied instrumentation, bright synth arrangements and uplifting club-ready rhythms – all this is also evident in his dynamic DJ sets which, if not for a global pandemic, would be more and more frequent across French venues and abroad.

Wosto was born in 1980 in Geseke (a small town near in „Wostfalia“) and he got no wife, no childen and no car. In the beginning of the 90ths he was a famous ice skater under the moniker RED FLAME. After an accident in 1995 and an identity crisis he started to collect records and began to work as a DJ for a fairground ride. Wosto and his gang G TOWN BEATS were discovered by the club owner Travolta Michele and they started to do DJ sets in the club KLIMBIM in Geseke. 19,994 of the 20,000 inhabitants of Geseke weren`t interested in the music of the gang and so in 2004 the boys escaped to Hamburg. In 2013 Wosto and his best friend Kluentah founded FALLBEIL. So far they released 10 vinyl records on different labels all over the world. In 2017 Wosto and the two members of NOSTAGIE ÉTERNELLE started the trio SAUERSTOFFF. Wosto is also releasing solo records and is running his own vinyl label - TEERPAPPE.

If you translate Jokios Kultūros into English, you will get the abstract term "uncultured". Dovydas Platakis is a DJ and producer representing the underground layers of Tauragė – a small city in the West of Lithuania. To honour his pseudonym, he delivers his vision of music in a chaotic, uncultured way, mixing different genres and styles. Old school hip-hop lover, he started to produce a long time ago, mostly sending his demos and promos only to his friends and now – to the delight of music lovers all over the world – finally going into deeper waters.

This year has surely brought changes to many aspects of our lives – and it’s no difference when it comes to the Endless Illusion Mix Series. We found ourselves oversaturated with guest mixes not affording artists the spotlight and care they deserve. This made us come to the conclusion that we should set up a new website giving you some deeper insights into our featured artists outside of the musical realm. Really happy to kick off this new format with renaissance musician, photographer, and scientist Marijana, from Belgrade, with a newfound home in Cologne. Interviewed by Jonáš Verešpej, they discussed Marijana’s mitochondria research, lockdowns, and the destruction of centuries-old Italian artwork.

Deckard playing live is sensational and uplifting experience, one of the most inspiring djs in Barcelona. Without a doubt his technique and his impecable selection draw you in to the point you never want the session to end. He is one of the most experienced DJs in Barcelona and a master of many genres, but today we especially wanted him to delight us with one of our favorite genres, EBM. IM #60 MIX: Deckard (New Body Music)

Gal Perez a.k.a. PRZ is an active record producer from Israel. Running the label Chateau Royal together with his partner in crime Rapha, PRZ is a vibrant force in the realm of synth-driven electro beats. His most recent involvement has been Pluto Junkies, a collaboration between three nomads – the aforementioned Rapha, PRZ and DT’s own Ernestas Sadau; their shredding debut EP “Flying Spaghetti Monstership” landed in stores just a few weeks before this conversation, having been released as the first 12’’ of Pinkman’s new subdivision, Minri. PRZ’s solo work has also been delivered by Housewax, Bauhaus Records and Parallax, always jam packed with sharp rhythms and melodies.
