The ill technique

I'm from the northern Virginia/DC metro area, into all styles of EDM, and DJ'd a little on the side back in the day. I have always been interested in the production side. Here are just a few of my humble attempts as well as some demo mix sets. Currently using Reaper as my DAW of choice.

Vinyl collecting Bay Area native with a passion for TRUE MASHUPS (i.e. girl talk, (early)milkman,  e-603, super mash bros, Neil Cicierega) not simply a multi song remix that some lazy DJ ‘made’ by beat syncing and calling it a mash, if you know what I mean cool, if not… fug-off. 

I’m a dude who used to DJ house parties in the Bay Area after high school (‘05-‘07) back when people could afford houses… Today I’m just on the hunt for killer tunes that I ain’t heard before. Show me what you got SoundCloud.

Getting back into the game. All vinyl sets. They are unedited, raw and real. You can hear f ups throughout but that is part of the process of tapping into my stored frequencies so that I can transfer that energy from my chompa (dome, head) to my hands, to my turntables, to y'all. Many moons ago my sets were recorded on cassette tape. Now through the beauty of technology we all can be heard, admire music, and be united as one. We are all one people, one tribe. Music is the language of the soul. Spread positivity. Never forget the brothers and sisters that never made it back home.
