I love the modulations. The arpeggio ornamentations used in the 1st/2nd beats and the bassline utilizing the root note really make the melody stand out.

one of my first and few attempts at using DAW+midi controller to make music (instead of the usual tracker). i'm obviously not abandoning my usual workflow (far from it) but it was fun giving it a go and seeing what kind of result that could yield. (as a result, the mixing/mastering sucks due to my lack of knowledge in that regard. oh well)

Here is the music I came up with for Ecstatic City Zone. Hyper Sonic Fan said he wanted a jazz motif so I gave it a shot :D.

Amazingly, this tune uses only instruments in the Rhythm Heaven soundfont. I wanted the chord progressions to be a bit more unique and satisfying in this one. I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not I succeeded.

I can never really find a way to progress the chord back to the original after going nuts... it's SOOOO HAAAARD.
