The seventeenth episode of our mix series showcases Philipp Drube, who’s DJing career started with his first gig in Hamburg 2011. After a couple of years he moved to Berlin where he co-founded Space Trax label with Frank Heise.
His meticulous and hand-tailored sets focus on fast-paced techno and different faces of trance. A blend which earns him appearances at Berlin’s most established clubs as well as several worldwide bookings.

In this mix, Philipp reflects on the moods he experienced during some cold and dark January days in Berlin, paired with a wave of inspiration that came after the Space Trax showcase at RSO in mid January.

DJ Sea View & Matriark join forces to round off the evening in serious style. Like running a dark beach at low tide, its washy, deep, and driven. Tracks from artists like Stenny, Shoal, and Archypness comprise two hours of subtly experimental techno, the kind that flirts with psychedelia with a light touch. Big tip, obviously.

Hypnotic Black Magic is a Berlin/Lisbon-based techno artist and founder of Art Bei Ton, known for hypnotic sets, gender-balanced lineups, and support for FLINTA* and queer artists. Blending nostalgic and avant-garde influences, she weaves deep techno, ambient, and ritualistic rhythms into immersive dancefloor journeys. This 2h set was recorded live at Future Imperfect x Art Bei Ton in Sydney on Feb 22nd, 2025. Her debut EP drops later this year.
