While I believe that it can make us happy to listen to uptempo, stimulating and entertaining pop music throughout the day,  I also believe that we all can benefit from a slow and  peaceful instrumental from time to time. Piano Summer

한양대 '문화콘텐츠' 수업에서 '전통문화를 가지고 문화상품 만들기' 라는 과제로 제출했던 노래.

Shamisen 하면 일본악기 인줄 알고, Sitar 하면 인도 악기라는 걸 알지만, Haegum 하면 무슨 악기인줄 모르니 이러한 국악악기를 샘플화 하여 라이브러리 씨디를 만들어 상품화 하면 좋겠다고 생각했었다. 물론 그 즈음에 그런 라이브러리화 작업이 실제로 이루어진걸로 알고 있다. (내가 한게 아니라 다른 곳에서)

친구가 이 아이디어로 문화진흥원인가 에서 투자 받아보겠다고 사용권리 달라고 했다가 은근슬쩍 사라진 기억이 있는데 음 어디서 뭘하고 있을지..투자금은 받아낸건지 어쩐건지..잇속에 관심 없다보니 여기저기 내 권리들을 잊어버리고 살아왔던 것 같다.

그렇다고 악착같이 사는건 아직도 뭔가 영 쪼다스러워서..쩝. (그런데 요샌 내 권리 찾는 법을 연습중이다! 오해 마시길 ㅎ)



창부가 remix

Recorded the beautiful piano soundtrack "One Summer's Day" from the 2001 Japanese animated fantasy film "Spirited Away," composed by Joe Hisashi.  This piano cover is similar to Hisashi's own solo performance at his live concert, though there are some subtle differences in my interpretation of the work.  Anyway, hope you enjoy it! :)
