The title track is a Latin scorcher, this rare take on the Bobby Caldwell classic will bring warmth to any dancefloor. Got to Find a Way is a flip on the master of soul, as poignant and important as ever after a year of protests. The green side takes you deeper with a dubbed out and extended modern soul number, cut beats, dusty horns and a strong vocal. The closing track is a much-needed extension to a feel-good favourite, 100% DJ material. That’s more than enough edits for you.

The Moton Records Inc series launched back in 1996, and – alongside edit imprints from the Idjut Boys, Harvey, and others – this label has been instrumental in shaping the leftfield Disco & Balearic re-edit scene. 

With a DJ career going back over 25 years, Marc Roberts’ sound reflects a wide range of influences and his love for all things house, techno, jazz, disco, and afro. Whether it's warming up for some of the biggest names in electronic music, or headlining shows himself, he's earned himself a reputation as a solid selector playing events globally. 
Marc Roberts curates award winning line ups for festivals and clubs worldwide, including a decade with alpine behemoth Snowbombing. Having relocated to South East Asia in 2016, he set up the Pantai People imprint during the pandemic which has released a number of very well received 12”s.

This month Moton Records enlists the expertise of Bali’s best, to take listeners on a global jaunt of musical exploration. From London to Rio via New York, and road tested on the dance floors and beaches of Bali, Marc serves up four Bintang fuelled edits, effortlessly gravitating from low-slung Balearica to hi-octane funk with a dash of Brazilian disco and pop thrown in for good measure. Marc Roberts slices and splices four beautiful cuts that that fit perfectly into the highly collectable and off centre Moton Records universe.

Glasgow’s disco godfather, the almighty Al Kent, has delivered three eclectic masterpieces, due to take the international dancefloors to a further level of musical consciousness. A further pack of deep dug bombs that confront the functionality in music many labels have always strived for. The A Side keeps every imaginable sound system busy with a drifty percussive harvester adorned with an eclectic instrumentation that splits flesh from bones and mind from soul. “Colder Than Cold” on the B Side is a perfect example of how a dancefloor should sound like. As bassist for dance-punk outfit The Rapture, Mattie Safer cut his teeth in the music scene alongside a wave of now-legendary early 2000s NYC acts like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem and more (a time period recently immortalized in the documentary film ‘Meet Me In The Bathroom.’) Fast-forward nearly 2 decades and Mattie has found the sweeter side of dance music as the current lead vocalist for slo-mo kings Poolside, and now he presents his solo lovetempo project on Razor-N-Tape.

A chilled-out singer/songwriterly affair, the lovetempo EP moves between organic laidback disco, modern bossa nova treatments, and Sade-esque grown-n-sexy jazz grooves. Hitting notes of both melancholy and positivity, Mattie’s plaintive vocals wind through all 4 of the original songs, delivering catchy and singable hooks. RNT regular Yuksek does what he does best, and takes the most uplifting tune of the pack into positively joyous hands-in-the-air territory with a stunning remix.
