marble soda is def my most popular tfa track and its one of my favourites ive made for the tourney, though it was very rough around the edges. i decided to remake it and smooth some things out (and also i removed pewdiepie)

A QUICK WORD:
In case you didn't know, this song used to be a bit of a running joke in my community.
Reason is, I kept saying that I would finish and release it soon, but I never did.
Funny enough, one of my oldest posts ever is a teaser I made to hype people up for the release:

Somewhere along the way, I guess me and the song drifted apart a little.
It's very hard to make a battle theme for yourself, because you'll expect so much from it.
You want to create something that represents yourself, all while fitting a format and sounding epic.

On numerous occasions, in the period of 2018-2020, I tried to pick it back up and finish it FOR REAL.
While writing this description, I managed to find 38 different FL Studio project files related to the song.
Even still, I never managed to get the song out.

At the time, I guess I didn't feel like I had the skills necessary to create the song I truly wanted.
But listening back to all my old demos, I just felt inspired by my own ambition.
Little Flames wanted that song to exist so bad. He just got in his own way.

This time, six years later, I picked up the song with a new outlook on things.
I wanted to finish it as an homage to my younger self, paying tribute to my old composition style.
For that reason, I decided to keep EVERY SINGLE NOTE exactly as it were six years ago.

Among other things, I had to sit down and learn a guitar solo I wrote six years ago. That was wild. It's also my first Undertale track in a while, and I'm pretty sure 'Megalos' aren't as cool as they were in 2017.
Although haters will say it's just progressive metal disguised as a megalo (which it is)

I guess the moral of the story is... if you're struggling to finish something, relax.
Sometimes we need breaks, and to distance ourselves even from things we like.
But in the end, If you want it enough, it'll happen. Even if it takes six years.

Little late, but here's the third installment in my Christmas special series! This one was made for @its_puffle, who is cool and fun to be around and RP with. A few years ago she made a couple tracks for a crossover AU with the indie horror game Ib, with Mary from that game taking the Papyrus role. (The thumbnails of these two tracks are taken--with permission--from the originals.) 

Since then, a remake has been released with a reworked version of "Puppet," Mary's theme. Her motif has changed, so I thought a fun thing to do would be to rework these tracks using the new melody! Also, yes these count as one track even though I uploaded them separately for later convenience. Shush.

Constructive feedback is always appreciated on all aspects except the vague spookiness of my choices in subject matter for a Christmas special.

Painting You Red [A Mary (Ib) Bonetrousle] (CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 3.5/6)

This one's for you, @user-255285003! While not one of my closest friends, I have it on good authority that L is a pretty swell, stand-up guy. I'd say more, but he doesn't like compliments. I will say I enjoy being around him, though, and of all the people in the group chat I wanted to make a bunch of tracks for as part of this event (I did not end up with that many) his was the easiest idea for me to come up with, so! Here it is!

Argenomon is a self-insert Pokemon AU about the members and culture of @slick_silver's Argenoverse Discord server. Slick just popped up and dumped a bunch of information on us about it one day, which prompted me to change my nickname there to "Professor Redwood" for the next several months. (Guess what role I take in the AU. Go on. Guess.)

Here's what Slick had to say about L's role:
"L: The winged motivational speaker and youth coach who resides in Teesos Town, a treetop village. Specializes in the Fairy type. Though he has many strong Pokemon at his disposal from years of training, he volunteered to be placed earlier in the League so that he could spend his time training and motivating weaker trainers."

In my interpretation, when the champion was establishing the Pokemon League in the region where Argenomon Silver/Gold/Metal takes place, Teesos Town was simply too small to have any vacant buildings that would work. Refusing to trouble the townsfolk to build something new--or worse, give up some existing establishment--L got to work building a ropes course in the trees high above. Most of the resources used were for nets and other safety features like patrolling flying Pokemon, but in the end L ended up making a more "L-ish" gym than anyone could have built conventionally. Onward and upward!

What better way to finish a Christmas special than with a track about Santa being dead?

Furtherfell has always been cool to me. It stands apart from just being "Aftergore + Underfell" because of the unique nature of Underfell's neutral endings, and also because of how it handles Underfell--it's heavily inspired by Underfella's take, but adds so much to it that they added their own version of Underfell as one of their "branches." I felt like I had to cover something of theirs for this holiday special, especially since my good pal Penny owns it and local coolperson Spud composed so much of it.

Originally, I was going to cover "Taking Back CONTROL" since that's one of my favorites on Furtherfell's OST...but as I started on it, I realized that it would be difficult to put my own spin on that track without ending up with something I like less. Then I remembered this exists, which was the perfect choice in so many ways. I love how this track interweaves its motifs, and I did feel like making something snowy would fit...plus, I mean, Santa's right there in the title! (Even if he's dead...though Furtherfell giving Asgore slightly more nuance without making him any less of a tyrant is another thing I love about the AU.)

...okay, so maybe I lied a little bit. The track about Santa being dead ISN'T the last one. Hey, I had enough of a sense of timing not to put the Divorce cover on Christmas Day, didn't I? Technically I had a half dozen tracks when I started the event, but...then I made another. Funny how that works out.

Oh, yeah, my voice. I do like singing, so I guess it was kind of inevitable that I'd eventually do something with lyrics, especially with Don't Forget being such a big thing in Deltarune. Voice reveal! Whoaaaaa! ...uh, hope you like my singing? I also wrote these lyrics, and definitely didn't stay up way too late one night recording takes for this. Nuh uh.

This track...isn't really for anyone in particular, but I have seen people lamenting the lack of Berdly love in this fandom--particularly @saurdino420 and @damian-thorne-act-i. I agree that he deserves better, though I think part of the issue is that his character arc kind of LOOKS like it's over when it really isn't yet. He's young! Give him time, people! We haven't even seen what he does with "Ms. Boom" yet! ...yeah, I count myself among the group who wants Berdly to be seen as more than just a walking joke.

...what's that? You want to know...who's singing this track, canonically? Ha, uh, funny thing about that--we don't know who sings Don't Forget in Deltarune, and there's not even any canon for this, so...literally whoever you like! (That's my way of getting out of having to commit to Kris, Susie, Noelle, or someone else entirely. So there.)

Unforgettable - A "Don't Forget" for Berdly as Kris (CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 7/6 - 100 FOLLOWERS!!)

Long ago, four goddesses ruled over an underground wonderland. DIN, NAYRU, FAORE, and a fourth lost to all records.
Together they created the TRIFORCE, and lived alone for many eons. The fourth sister disappeared after conflict with the other three, taking her piece, the TRIFORCE of TIME, with her.
Eventually, however, the people of EARTH found their home, and took residence inside of it.
Furious with the Earthlings, the three remaining goddesses abandoned their paradise and sealed the invaders within a powerful barrier.
Those under the mountain still had three pieces of the TRIFORCE: the TRIFORCE of POWER, the TRIFORCE of WISDOM, and the TRIFORCE of COURAGE. However, without the missing fourth piece, they could never hope to free themselves.
