We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

In Australia, where the musical project Dead Can Dance is from, the aboriginal tribe of the Watagora and Kamilaroi use the word "Yulunga" refering to the "Spirit of the Dance". From there seems to stem the verb "yulugi", which in his ancestral language means to dance or to play. 

According to the Watagora, Yulunga (the Rainbow Serpent and spirit of dance) still sleeps on the River Duck. She wakes up after every storm when touched by the rays of the sun, to watch the sky and protect the good people.
