Meet John Holt, Andorra's techno maestro. With over a decade of experience, John Holt dominates the stages of festivals like Hibernation, Elrow, and CODE, blending techno beats with live instruments, making him a true cultural influencer.

Originally from Andorra, John Holt is passionate about electronic dance music. He began his DJ career at the age of 14, and by 17, he was performing live at local venues in his hometown. With over ten years of experience, Holt has secured residencies at renowned venues such as Eivissa Experience and Fat Albert's. His energetic sets draw hundreds of electronic music fans each week, both at clubs like Eivissa Experience and Fat Albert's, and at various festivals in Andorra, including the Hibernation Festival and the Andorra Mountain Music Festival.

Holt's talent extends beyond his home country, performing on stages in France and Spain at prominent venues like Fabrik Madrid, Sala City Hall in Barcelona, Oxido in Guadalajara, Sala Zero in Tarragona, Nit Oh in La Seu de Urgell, Sonora in Bilbao, and at festivals such as Bricks in Toulouse and l'effet Blanc in Saillagouse. In addition to his role as a DJ, Holt is a prolific music producer, with tracks spanning multiple genres that have been released on prestigious labels, both locally and internationally. In 2023, alongside his partner Robznow, he founded his own record label, BLACKINBLACK Records, specializing in techno, hard techno, and psy trance. The label has released several tracks, including a notable collaboration with the Canarian rapper Stereoman on a raw techno track.

His versatility is showcased in his ability to seamlessly blend genres like House, Techno, Hard & Psy Trance.

Beyond his work as a DJ and producer, Holt is deeply involved in cultural projects, aiming to merge electronic music with other art forms. Supported by government grants, he leads initiatives like "La Máquina del Temps," where electronic music intertwines with Andorra's scenic landscapes. His dedication to music education is evident in his trumpet studies at the Andorra la Vella Music Institute, with the goal of incorporating live instruments into his sets.

Holt's cultural impact extends beyond music, collaborating with renowned soloists and groups at festivals like Jambo Street ALV. Through his efforts, he aims to create unique and immersive experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide, further solidifying his position as a prominent figure in Andorra's cultural landscape.
