Charleston Sarjeant Jr. is a steel pannist,  keyboardist and percussionist based in Boston, Massachusetts. Charleston continues a family tradition of progressive steel pan musicians and has over 20 years experience as a professional musician.
Charleston was affectionately called a child prodigy and musical genius, first playing steel pan with a steel band at the age of 8 and arranging / directing by the age of 11.  Charleston began arranging at the age of 10 and by the age of 14 founded his own award-winning steel band, Pan United.  Charleston also began to teach steel pan master classes and ensembles for various community centers and schools in the Boston area.  By his senior year in high school, he was tapped to help Boston Public Schools form a steel pan program, where he still teaches today. 

As a professional musician, Charleston has performed across the United States, notably with Dis-N-Dat Band as a keyboardist backing many top reggae artists that include Pato Banton, Everton Blender and Anthony B.  Charleston is a highly sought after steel pannist and has performed for a variety of events, bands and artists in the northeast US and beyond.
