A Space In Between is the second single and the outro of ARIA. It depicts the intangibility of this other-self, that exists everywhere around us - in the light we see, in the sounds we hear, in our hearts, and in our minds. This track was initially derived as a very cinematic build before I sent it to On Planets. As we chatted about the main theme of the EP and went back and forth with the track, the idea evolved beautifully. When came back to me with the final, brilliant lyrics, I was amazed and knew it would be the perfect conclusion to Aria.

e·go·tism - noun - the practice of talking and thinking about oneself excessively because of an undue sense of self-importance.

Basically, this is Nayte the Hermit's (@naytethehermit) moment of self-awareness, and the eternal internal struggle of musicians, swinging between narcissism & self-loathing. Not to fuel this huge ego any more, but Nayte's songwriting and production reach a new peak in this EP on DESKPOP. You may have heard their feature on the compilation DESKPOP: Pink Version, in which Nayte contributes cute vocals to a track produced by Jellybear. Often it sounds like a self-duet when switching between well-crafted vocal filters, both hyping themself up and talking themself down. "EGOTISM I" is a fantastic debut EP and will be stuck in your head for ages.

What's a Future Funk

I want to thank crlzz, LOZE, FIBRE, Childhood and Vantage for working with me on my this album making my dreams come true. I never thought any of this would happen and it was amazing to work with you all to create such a variety of music on the album. I can't express in words how awesome this experience was. I hope you all enjoy the album and it makes you want to dance and have a good time! The goal of this album was to hit every sound that is within the Future Funk/French House genres whether it's the old school sound or new school I wanted to have it all.
