Counting the days for the next mostra. One by one, recalling each of the performances I've lived there, has made me understand that the festival was even better than I remember. This one is another masterpiecem with Reeko out of his usual sounds and creating this.... Amazing!

A cinematic and immersive excursion from one of Berlin’s most distinctive selectors. Blind Observatory guided the Saturday crowd through expansive techno landscapes and cosmic textures. A precise and powerful dream'n'space journey that carried the outdoor stage from late afternoon into the golden hour.

Author’s note: In this set—beyond the water theme, where we play with certain field recordings that evoke it, like the dripping of irrigation systems, the Mediterranean Sea (since we are in Catalonia, with a poem by Ovidi Montllor at the beginning and another by Salvador Espriu near the end), rain, or even the washhouse itself—we also wanted to play with sunlight. Our set began in the sun and ended at night, and the musical progression was designed to follow that change.

Binomi (@binomi) is the project of Jordi Aparicio (@slim-jordi) and Joan Gila (@joan-gila), born from a friendship forged through music and a constant exchange of records, recommendations, and sonic curiosities. DJs and record collectors from Tarragona, they run the radio program of the Mostra festival together with their friend Javi, and have appeared on stations such as Dublab Barcelona with a show dedicated to exploring the history of musical movements across different regions.

DIGIT is a decentralized micro-festival of electronic music and digital art taking place on 12–13 September 2025 across Montbrió del Camp, Pratdip, and Reus (Tarragona). Organized by the cultural association El Rampell (@elrampell) - based in Pratdip, about 150 km from Barcelona - the festival brings contemporary culture to rural settings and the wider Tarragona region.

As part of the program, Binomi will perform at Els Rentadors during the deep-listening journey, sharing the stage with Bastien, .apart, Perila, and ABSIS.

From his base in the Helsinki underground, @soundsofkaspiann has forged a psychedelic techno sound rooted in DIY ethos and free from tempo constraints. Through his VALA label, live performances, custom soundsystem, and self-organised parties, he cultivates a holistic approach to club music — one aimed at total immersion and psychological surrender within dimly lit, physically resonant spaces. His sound bridges low-speed experiments and fast-paced meditations, echoing early influences from trance and psy while shaping a refined, contemporary identity since launching VALA in 2021. Balancing introspective textures with impactful club energy, Kaspiann channels the pulse of Helsinki’s clubs and the raw spirit of its underground. His live sets, shifting fluidly between ambient, downtempo, and deep techno, embody a versatile, hypnotic vision that values immersion and sonic exploration above all else.

Madrid's Jan Swam joins our series with a potent delivery of centrifugal, sub-heavy psychedelia. At the helm of the Organic Signs label and its annual Refractor Festival, Jan Swam is a guiding force in the realm of modern sonic exploration, in constant pursuit of new avenues for mental metamorphosis through his boundary-pushing platforms and his own exquisite productions.  We finally connected at last year's Positive Education festival, bonding over our appreciation for expansive dance floor experiences and a shared love of certain records nearly lost to time. It's a pleasure to share this mix in which every turn is carefully considered, where rhythms contort beneath the surface and the mind’s textures become obscured within smoke. Thanks Alejandro!

Sure Thing Mix 147: Jan Swam

Continuum: a coherent whole characterised as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees.

We continue our five year anniversary celebrations, and as promised, this week brings a new mix. And this one is of those special pieces of music that arrived wrapped in mysterious fog and enigma. It couldn't be in any other way, since it is Eafhm who is behind this piece. 

Those who have been drawn to the introspective and hypnotic realms of electronic music will surely have a special place in their hearts for Secuencias Temporales. A label that has been instrumental for the expansion of the styles of music this podcast has always loved. Secuencias Temporales has been home to many artists first releases, and a platform that has discovered talent across the globe. Their catalogue now stands a seminal collection for our beloved genres, and the cast featured in those releases is truly an All Star one. And the man behind it all is no other than Eafhm, Jorge. 

The elusive producer, sound designer and dj, hailing from Mexico, has a special touch for depth in sound. He has incredible releases on staple labels like Oslated, Diffuse Reality, or his own Secuencias Temporales. 

For this mix, Jorge gifted us with a selection that is as unique and, at least to me, mysterious, as the ways he operates. A beautiful collection of cinematic music, expansive atmospheres, relentless drums and dramatic soundscapes. Unclassifiable, unique and adventurous, we were waiting for the right time to share such a one of a kind piece from such a one of a kind artist. And our anniversary releases seemed the ideal occasion. 

We held onto this for quite some time waiting for the moment, we can't thank you enough Jorge for this one.

The Continuum: Eafhm

Some collaborations feel orchestrated. This one felt inevitable. Reeko and Mostra share a certain DNA - innovative, uncompromising, with an appetite for risk. One’s a festival, the other a force of nature, but both operate outside the usual margins. So when Reeko stepped into the cavernous Pavelló Olímpic on the final day of Mostra 2025, the match didn’t need explaining. After three days of sonic overstimulation, the crowd could’ve easily slipped into post-peak autopilot. Instead, something sparked.

Reeko played with the confidence of someone who doesn’t need to raise his voice to be heard. He didn’t grab attention, instead he tuned the room to his frequency. No spectacle, just sustained pressure. The kind that doesn’t shout, but hums somewhere in your bones. From the first mix, he had total control, not just over tempo, but over tension, perception, direction. It wasn’t peak-time euphoria. It was something colder, sharper, more elemental.

What happened on that floor wasn’t mystical, and it wasn’t romantic. It was human circuitry, bodies moving like they’d been rewired. A dance floor fully switched on. In a festival stacked with standout sets, this one kept floating to the surface in post-Mostra conversations. We’re proud to share this recording. It was special. Now it’s permanent.
