Third V/A Compilation of Moving Pictures Label is titled “Aegean Forcefields”. The genres and musical borders are blended and twisted, as it is already customary to our carefully curated compilations. This time artists from Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, UK and Sweden are contributing their colours and textures to the palette of Moving Pictures imprint. “Astrophel” is undoubtedly, as the name hints, a track for star lovers. It’s a peak-time dreamscape whose rolling synth arpeggios, paired with a forward-moving beat, will move any dancefloor or make you dream up one while gazing at stars. Through being outgoing , but in “slow release” so to say, feet and phantasy are being engaged simultaneously. Appropriately, the track is one of four on the release that inaugurates Jozef K’s new label Dreaming Forever. The specific beauty of “Astrophel” is that the magic is released steadily and with patience over 8:20, playing with its intensity. During this time, we dance starstruck, reminded of timeless disco tracks but with more edge - which makes “Astrophel” an amazing track to bridge different moods during a DJ set. Jozef K has been known for releases on labels like Sungate and LNOE and collaborations with Tin Man, amongst others. 

Founding Dreaming Forever marks a new phase in his career, focusing on his own, but mainly on the productions of other artists. The first release DF001 comes with two tracks by Jozef K and remixes by Tin Man and Skudge.

Premiere: Human Space Machine - PSHCMP

Floating around the ether of the world is an old proverb that states, “Good things always come in pairs”. For today’s premiere, we here at Delayed are inclined to agree with that sentiment as another Aussie based artist is taking a stand alongside Alex Albrecht, and Sean La'Brooy on their Analogue Attic imprint to be the metaphorical yin to their yang.

Melbourne based Citizen Maze and his mixes have been on repeat around the Delayed HQ for some time. They are phenomenal stories that dive deep into and through the proverbial musical waters. Taking listeners through a variety of textures, sounds and feelings while providing an overall emphasis on detail. Unsurprising to none, these characteristics are carried over into his live sets and production, the latter of which is why we are here today. ‘Race to the Falls’, off the forthcoming ‘Northern Angelique’ EP, is full to the brim with musical elements, each with their little quirks that lend such a personality to this track and in turn, the EP. So many little things to notice each time you listen, picking out a new voice every time.
