"Silv'ahn," the new EP by Martinou, is a deep exploration of artistic expression. Drawing inspiration from field recordings in Sweden's Skåne region, Martinou forges a connection with the natural world, amplifying the essence of stone, salt, and wood. The result is a signature Martinou style: minimal yet emotionally resonant tracks built on a mysteriously pulsating groove.

Our premiere today, "Boulder Ridge," is propelled by a robust, rumbling groove underpinning a subtle synth sequence and a melancholic yet simple melody that burrows into your mind from the first listen.

20 years ago, i started my electronic music journey and about 8 of them, i produce my own waveforms. I’ve always tried to bring my own visions to life and do the things i love in the way that seems to be right for me. With Spectral Ranges my first album arrives and i‘m very exited to finally present it to you all.

A huge part of my art always has been the DIY concept. The projects goal was to do it 100% my self. Starting from writing and producing the music, up the to mastering and building 100 wooden cd cases including carbonated compact discs for the physical version of the album. I seriously underestimated how much work you can put into a project like this and realized, that especially the physical version isn’t buildable alone in terms of precision and an overall good quality, so the guys from CNC-Holzbude (www.cnc-holzbude.de - special thanks to Mr.Chips) helped me out in the development process and milled the raw cases with their CNC-Machine.

Just as the music is inspired by nature, so are the cd cases. They are handmade products, mostly out of natural materials. CNC-milled at CNC-Holzbude (www.cnc-holzbude.de - special thanks to Mr.Chips). Hand-sanded, glued, assembled, painted and hand-stamped by Schulz Audio. There are of course irregularities and flaws which give every single case its own uniqueness.

The overall project is a synthesis of art for me and i hope you find some peace and inspiration in it.

Natur, the Brazilian producer known for his evocative soundscapes, makes a compelling return with his latest release on the Mood Series. The track's ambient fade-out leaves a lingering sense of relaxation and awe, making it a perfect introduction to the album's intricate sonic world. 'Echosphere' follows with a mid-tempo dub techno rhythm that's ideal for opening any DJ set. 'Transient Echos' is a masterclass in blending classic dub techno sounds with ambient elements. The track's deep, rolling bassline and low BPM create a hypnotic effect. Despite its slow tempo, the track hits hard, proving that a banger doesn't need to be fast-paced. Its hypnotic quality and sick beats make it a memorable addition to the album. 'Dub Infusion' ramps up the energy with an upbeat tempo and swirling electric chords. The track's groove is punctuated by sharp stabs, creating a hi-tech, flighty dancefloor crusher. The Katun River fades behind you, and the road begins to climb — higher and higher, into the breath of Altai itself. Katu-Yaryk is one of the most breathtaking mountain passes in Siberia: 3.9 kilometers of winding serpentine, nine sharp turns, and every meter — a test of spirit. On one side — sheer cliffs; on the other — the bottomless Chulyshman Valley, where echoes travel between mountains, repeating the rhythm of your own heartbeat. Katu-Yaryk is more than a road — it’s a passage, a threshold between earth and sky. A unique feat of engineering carved directly into a steep slope, surrounded by wild, untouched nature. Until the mountain road was built, the only way here was by horse trail or across Lake Teletskoye. This is a place where land, sky, and human will move as one.
Here, silence roars louder than the wind — and fear transforms into awe.

Vol. 9 of Mountain Altai VA is dedicated to this mountain pass — a path that connects not only heights and horizons, but inner states of mind. Nine tracks unfold like footsteps along a winding road, like breaths of high air, like music that moves beside you.
