Introducing the new Son Of Chi album 'We Carry Eden'. Invited by Orb Magazine to make a podcast that reflects the sources, the inspiration and deeper layers behind the 'We Carry Eden' album.

"I just started sampling and editing music I was listening to lately. I mixed them with samples from 'We Carry Eden' and also from a few ongoing projects I'm working on. Somehow it all easily came together. I just let the music find me and tried not to get involved too much. 
Or as the American poet Robert Lax said (also featured on 'We Carry Eden'): "You have to put yourself in a position where grace can flow to you". 

It has been an exiting trip to work on this mix. Hope you will enjoy. This collage is not for sale and will not be released. All rights belong to the original artists. It represents storytellers, messengers, passengers in time and sonic travelers, known and unknown, from all times, cultures and disciplines. It's a message of love and respect for all of them that dedicate and dedicated their lives to create harmony and beauty in this world of changes.

Thought as an hypnosis session inspired by the neurophysiology behind the mysteries of sleep stages and its transitions phenomena, the aim is to introduce the listener to an altered state of consciousness where sound frequencies are melted into brainwaves. Repetitive bass lines synchronize rhythmic slow activity, as during sleep-onset, able to induce a hypnagogic state. Higher tones overlap, mirroring the gamma band that evoke inner memories from deeper areas. As melodies and whisperings modulate your thoughts, REM-like architecture sculptures the imagery and the self vanishes. 

<<< You are now entering the “dysvreality”. Chords resonate echoes from a distant time: chaos imposed as order. A frenetic lullaby that has already alienated many, turns dreams into nightmares, forcing the subject to escape. Enchanting atmospheres are invaded by electroacoustic patterns seeking for awareness. Sound robot machines return a sense of control, followed by a dreamy space odyssey. Suddenly, a familiar street sound breaks the wake-sleep frontiers. You’ve listened to that before, in another life… Your life. Lucid dreams emerge by identifying this clue. Metal elements dive into an oneiric soundscape where fear and hope collide. Wandering voices interrupt lucidity, translating you to a confusional arousal. 

As you try to open your eyes, you notice with panic that you cannot move, cuddled by sub-bass and strings. Expecting to feel safe while paralyzed, horns and whistles warn you about destiny. In that moment, you realize that distant reality is, in fact, the present and time is running out. >>>

This set was recorded at “Vanishing Point”, a magical open-sky sleepover that took place in Madrid's surroundings in September 2025. So glad to be part of it, endless love to all people involved. Final cut is added as an epilogue, which I hope completes the story with a special bonus for this HOCast.

LEVL performed on the third day of #Mostra25 at the Vall d'Hebron Olympic Pavilion.

Forest Drive West, Felix K and DB1 are LEVL. Together, they explore the murky territory between drum & bass, techno and experimental electronics, crafting a distinctive sound that defies the boundaries of genre. The trio's collaboration began with DB1 and Forest Drive West putting out music through Berlin-based Felix K’s label Hidden Hawaii, which led to the formation of LEVL: a combination of each artist’s unique production approach that creates a cohesive and innovative sound. 

LEVL's debut release, “LEVL#1”, was issued in 2019 on Arcola, a sub-label of Warp Records, a bass- and breaks-heavy record showcasing their ability to blend ambient textures with complex rhythms. “LEVL#2”, on Felix K's Nullpunkt label, further explores the intersection of ambient, drum & bass and techno.

Beyond their recorded output, LEVL brings a strong energy to live performances, delivering an immersive and genre-bending musical experience. With meticulous attention to detail, the group pushes the boundaries of electronic music through soundscapes that challenge and captivate listeners.

With the colours of autumn coming alive and the first morning mists rolling in, we're delighted to introduce the latest Deep Breakfast mix, carefully curated by the talented Vidění.

Vidění is a project in constant search for sounds that create mental, hypnotic, deep and ambient constructions. Inspired by unconventional rhythmic structures in which light, darkness, tension, organic elements and an infinity of emotions coexist.

A creative interpretation of a (moon)epicycle: 

race past the silver/blue light; reflected from the oldest satellite in our solar system. Cotton clusters and vapor dunes moving through a vast ocean of space-time continuum. The backdrop stretches endlessly beyond our minds. Careless. The charcoal colored mirrorball channels frequencies that bring to life, those who are not asleep, wide awake, roaming in shadow of diffused radiation coming from a distant fireball busy making daylight for others. Ever looping, the night brings light and dark and feels terrifying, soft and gentle at the same time. Time and time again, cycling for at least forever.

Having just released their incredible “Look At Things” EP on Molly’s Recit de Voyage, they have just blessed us with a mix. Whether on their Orion imprint or Molly’s RDV, one has grown to expect nothing short of spectacular when it comes to Orion’s output, and this mix is no exception.
The Italian duo delivers an hour of their own productions, starting out slow, slowly building up and working through a trip of ambient house and dub techno, eventually closing with a Burial-esque tune.

Vrika is the moniker under the Spanish producer Fernando Blanco. His music is a mixture of hypnotic rhythms, ambient soundscapes and organic textures, with a tribal output. Starting from techno and move to freely different subgenres. He has released music on Doppt Zykler and other underground labels. Recently founded the project RVD alongside Discknoked and Randoom, focused on slow techno and live improvisations.
