LoveBytes  Vol. 3  - Attraction/ Hope  - Mix Notes :

Among the crop of new, young Russian producers popping out on my radar recently, Delete’s work stands out quite prominently. His work has a deep rooted feel for his homeland’s recent socio-political history which he mirrors opposite its glorious cultured past in a dark and complex way… The kind of work that can not be fully grasped initially, nor forgotten or overlooked easily.  I am extremely grateful for having him on board for my LoveBytes project.

His mix here for the 3rd volume of our LoveBytes series, is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever heard. If you are like me, the versatility and complexity of what you are about to hear will catch you off guard to a great extent. The range presented in the mix is quite varied. The tempo shifts back and forth from dark and gloomy to cheerful and happy and all intermediary points back and forth throughout. Genre wise, it’s a mish mash with so many things thrown in but at no time, it makes you feel that the vibe is made up, forced or he has lost control of where exactly he wants to take us in an absolutely mind boggling route. I have listened to it almost every day for the past few weeks (and several times a day lately doing the final production work for its release) and it only gets better and better every time. 

When I asked him a couple of weeks ago if he wants to write a short piece for the mix and talk about this work, may be describing how he interpreted the theme of “Attraction/ Hope” in his own words, he wrote back simply, “As for the introduction, sorry mate, but I have nothing to say except this: Dedicated to all my brothers and sisters in Ukraine”. To me, his response alone is a great example of his character if nothing else, in my opinion. Hope you will enjoy this as much as I did and once again, many thanks to him for putting all his heart and mind into this project to come up with such an exemplary contribution.

As always, much love to Zefora and Vital, my partners in crime for their immense contribution in making this mix and the whole series to the next level. You two are the best!
