Blaqq & Why'd, the talented DJ and producer duo, originally hail from the city of Basel, Switzerland. 

Their musical journey began with a shared passion for infectious beats and groovy rhythms that resonate. Known for their distinct sound that seamlessly blends groovy melodies with percussive elements, Blaqq & Why'd have carved out a unique niche in the electronic music scene.

White Widow Records since its inception (in 2013) has made a major contribution to the promotion of independent music, particularly in the areas of tech house, deep house and bass house. It's an extraordinary label, characterized by unique sound on the Polish club scene, deeply rooted in the British house scene, drawing inspiration from the classic sound of the 90's.

White Widow Records is not only a thriving label but also an international club project, appreciated by music producers on major European festivals and in the most popular clubs. Label creates the unforgettable events, during which put partygoers in full euphoria.

The founders of the label are Luc vel Mzura and Brusikiewicz, who develop the label through the combination of experience and passion. As a duo, they create music as Handia Hype, playing sets in the best clubs in Poland and having a radio show on Data Transmission Radio, where they present the latest WWR releases and guest mixes of artists from the label. Founders closely care about the visual side of the label, WWR's hallmark has become covers in a characteristic comic style, what gives a unique vibe.

I've been DJing since 1985 and play a range of styles Old Skool, Breaks, all things House, Balearic etc. These days I love making my own edits and remixes, especially old skool. I ran & still run numerous club nights. Played at some amazing clubs and outdoor parties throughout Europe & Asia and was heavily involved in the U.K rave/free party scene and hugely inspired by D.i.Y and their ethos of parties/music. I also used to run a label & dance record shop in the 90's. I recently won the Sasha classics FB group competition and supported Ian Ossia in Leicester. Dee Montero is a lifer. He’s the former Mambo Ibiza resident who at the end of 2017 received Pete Tong’s Essential Tune Of The Year on BBC Radio One for the string-fuelled, epic end-of-nighter ‘Halcyon’, originally released on Solomun’s acclaimed Diynamic imprint. And he’s been busy ever since with various eps including ‘Pangaea’ on Knee Deep In Sound, ‘Shadows’ on All Day I Dream and also the scintillating ‘In The Wild’ and ‘Headspace’ featuring Meliha on Anjunadeep.

From Asia to America and everywhere in between it’s all been about the music for Dee. Performances in Australia, India and Dubai have been interspersed with US tours and appearances at Burning Man on the Robot Heart and Carl Cox Playground stages as well as summer shows in Ibiza including Hï with Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

In 2020 Dee launched his own imprint Futurescope bringing in fellow musical alchemists Patrice Baumel, Fort Romeau and Lauer for remix duties. He unleashed his diverse 12 track artist album ‘Artifacts’ to the world in 2022 playing to those deft melodic touches, twinkling synths and positive peaks. ‘Maya’, the standout track from the LP and a homage to Future Sound Of London’s ‘Papua New Guinea’ got a special rework from mastermind Rodriguez Jr. pushing the release to even bigger, higher heights. 

As well as forthcoming eps on Nora En Pure’s Purified label later this year Dee’s next single ‘Freedom’ on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound will continue the upward electronic pressure into summer 2023. These are exciting times for an artist with Dee’s attention to detail and there are so many sonic terrains still left to discover…
