This is a channel for a studio project called Grand Prize (est. 2002), it's trip-hop with several other influences, rock, pop, indie/lo-fi, funk, psychedelia, boom-bap, folk, ect. Very much sample and beat driven as well...Anthoknee Battaglia (pictured) is the singer & Choice & Twan J. (not pictured) do production and engineering. We have around 500 songs finished over the past 5 yrs. with more forthcoming. Many of the older songs are rough demos and not mastered, please excuse it. Anywho, hope you dig...:)

Hi there. I'm a conscious hip-hop artist and producer. My name is MTK which stands for More Than Knowledge. My songs are mainly about social issues. For those who don’t know what conscious hip-hop is, it’s a sub genre of hip-hop that focuses on meaningful and socially conscious lyrics, rather than just entertaining or having a commercial purpose. It often deals with issues related to social and political problems, and aims to inspire and educate listeners. Many people believe that this type of hip-hop is important because it is a powerful means of raising awareness and promoting positive change. I also produce electronic music and like to experiment with other genres from time to time.

Γειά σας. Είμαι ενσυνείδητος χιπ-χοπ καλλιτέχνης και παραγωγός. Το ψευδώνυμό μου λέγεται MTK το οποίο σημαίνει ‘More Than Knowledge’ (περισσότερο από γνώση) στα αγγλικά. Τα τραγούδια μου είναι σχετικά με θέματα βαρύνουσας σημασίας συνήθως. Για όσους δεν ξέρουν τι είναι η συνειδητή ραπ, είναι ένα υπο-ύφος του χιπ-χοπ το οποίο επικεντρώνεται στη δημιουργία συνείδησης και στη διάδοση της γνώσης. Οι συνειδητοί ράπερ συνήθως κατακρίνουν τη βία, τις διακρίσεις και άλλες κοινωνικές ασθένειες. Προωθείται από την πεποίθηση ότι η ριζική κοινωνική αλλαγή έρχεται μέσα από τη γνώση του εαυτού και της προσωπικής ανακάλυψης. Επίσης, παράγω ηλεκτρονική μουσική καθώς και άλλα είδη περιστασιακά.

Minhas canções são principalmente sobre questões sociais. Para aqueles que não sabem o que é hip-hop consciente, é uma subforma de hip-hop que se concentra em letras significativas e socialmente conscientes, em vez de apenas entreter ou ter um propósito comercial. Ele, frequentemente, trata de temas relacionados a problemas sociais e políticos, e visa inspirar e educar os ouvintes. Muitas pessoas acreditam que esse tipo de hip-hop é importante por ser um meio poderoso para conscientizar e promover mudanças positivas. Eu também produzo música eletrônica e gosto de experimentar outros gêneros de tempos em tempos.
